"Ordered buttered chicken and a Bhuna, i live 5 minutes from the place and open it up to find the rice was stone cold, rang Bengali village back up to rectify the problem and was met with a disgusting attitude whilst calling me a liar, telling me the rice couldn’t possibly be cold and asking if I want to come back to his shop and test his hot plate out, no apology no offer to replace the curry’s were awful tasting and disgusting customer service arguing with me over the phone, won’t be returning stay away!"

Everything was way too hot and the Chicken was very tough, the Nan bread was ok but the whole meal was a waste of money. And a big disappointment.

Hired a cottage close to here and ordered a meal for 3 including starters and side orders to take back to the cottage. Food was amazing, and service was great! We will definitely be back!

We have eaten from here twice now having recently moved from a big city. We didn’t think we would find a quality local takeaway but have been proven wrong, happily. Dishes are tasty and the service is good.

Abdul's meals are consistently tasty! The portions are generous and the attention to detail and our needs is super. Abdul allows us to bring our own Tupperware to reduce one use packaging. He is so kind and responsible. We love his food and his warm welcome always! Ver carta

Truly exceptional. This is in a different league to the takeaways that simply combine lumps of meat with dollops of bought in sauces and heat them up. The Bengal does ACTUAL COOKING! Fresh ingredients, fresh herbs and spices. Among the very best South Asian food I have experienced, anywhere in the world. A real find.

We tried bengal village for the first time tonight as our usual takeaway was closed, they kindly delivered to our house in kinmel bay, food arrived hot and packaged well, we ordered vegetable biryani, vegetable saag and a chicken bhuna with rice and popadoms, the food was delicious and not oily like some takeaways, we will definitely be ordering again and would recommend to others the portions were very generous too

"Went for afternoon tea with my wife, using an 'experience ' voucher from a well known site, costing £35.99 absolute disaster! The description said 'sit down in the sophisticated dining room and tuck into a section of finger sandwiches, tantalising cakes, pastries, macarons and scones with clotted cream and jam. You won 't want this afternoon to end! ' Trust me, we could not get out of their quick enough and go and find somewhere to get something to eat. The sophisticated dining room was a large, cold room with only a couple of other diners, sticky wooden tables, with no table cloths, just a flimsy paper napkin and a knife and fork. We ordered a coffee and a tea, which came in the smallest teapot, I have ever seen. Later in the meal, when we asked for another drink, we were told that was extra and were charged another £5.70. The food was nothing like as described or pictured on the website. A sad looking selection of sandwiches four quarters each of thin sliced bread one containing a very small piece of processed ham, a second mashed up egg, third was some sort of fish, not sure if it was salmon or tuna; and finally some sort of green leaf with something wet on top it looked like the sandwich had been made days earlier and then sat upon! No pastries or macarons but the two scones with clotted cream and two little pots of jam were OK, however the remaining small cakes were dreadful, none of them were fresh there were two eclairs that were inedible, either the cream or chocolate was off and they were very dry; two little red velvet cakes, which again were dry and horrible; and finally two small pieces of carrot cake that were the least objectionable but again very dry. When we told the waitress the eclairs, she said she would tell the chef but no offer of an alternative. True, it was an unforgettable experience, but not in the way we had expected! We have had afternoon teas in top hotels, pubs, cafes and well known garden centres and nothing came close to being as bad as this meal. Needless to say we will never return and would strongly advise caution if anyone is thinking of going here."
