Bengal Spice - Carta

The foods always really nice and its one of the cheapest takeaways around. Can't really fault it, my favourite is the tandoori king prawn Madras with garlic Nan.

Have had 2 meals from here now. Both have been very tasty and the use of fresh ingredients is obvious, but with both collections we have had to wait far too long. 25 minutes over what you estimated last night. Speed it up or be more realistic. Will give it another try.

Food was great. But cold. We ordered a just eat at 6pm on a Saturday night. Expected delivery time was 7.45 pm. So we knew they were busy. It came 20 mins late and was cold. Maybe you need more staff? The previous week on the Tuesday I’d made an online order through just eat and they just cancelled it? No explanation. Not impressed with the customer service so far.

We order a curry to be delivered from here weekly and it's by far our favourite locally. Always fresh and tasty and the staff are really enthusiastic and friendly, often writing us little notes on the containers which make us smile! We often say how great it would be if they had the option of eating in as the food is as good as any Indian restaurant we've been to even after being packaged up and driven to our door. 10/10 from us!

Ordered food for delivery at 7.55 and was told 8.15. At 8.30 rang up as no food arrived and was told just waiting for the last dish and be 20 mins. At 8.30 still no food so rang again. Told they were waiting for the driver to come back and be another 15 minutes! At 9.00pm still no food so rang again to be told roads are bad (true) be 15 mins. At 9.30 guess what NO FOOD so rang and was told driver was on way he left 15 minutes ago .... this place is 10 min away!!! Arrived at 9.46pm....cold food, overcooked, greasy and awful. Ver carta

Made the decision to order eith bengsl spice due to positive reviews on internet. Twice used and twice have been given expected times (once for collection, once delivery) that were a lie. The first time was NYE so gave benefit of doubt, the second was told delivery would be an hour after ordering, called after hour and half and told would be another 45mins...im sorry but over 2hours to cook a 4 person meal is just poor, either advise of timescale or true expected delivery time. Don't just blatantly lie. Food, when eventually received was mediocre both times. Won't be using again, neither should you!!!

Ordered a take away last night at 6.15pm through just eat. The time for delivery stated 8pm. Twice as long as anywhere else for a Saturday night. 8pm came and went, at 8.30 I phoned and was told my food was still there and was being bagged ready to go. At 9pm still no delivery so I phoned again only to over hear a man very aggressively shouting we are very busy! Don 't they get we are very busy! . Well.....however busy you may be you took the order and set the delivery time, I paid for it, if you cant meet the order don 't take it! Not even a phone call to say it was running late. I received my food 3 hours after placing the order and it was cold. Never again. Worst place I have ever ordered...

Our first time at the Bengal Spice, thought we would give it a go as someone on Facebook had recommended it.The gent who took the order on the phone was lovely and friendly and was very welcoming on arrival to collect our food. A lovely and spotless collection area :)The proof of the pudding is in the tasting and it has gone down a treat tonight! Full of flavour and lovely consistency. I had the chicken tikka which was tender and tasted delicious with a mix of onions. Our other dishes were chicken tikka massala and chicken tikka dansak (madras hot) both beautifully cooked. It was like 'eating in ' food quality which was excellent! We would highly recommend and look forward to using here very... Ver carta
