Bio Company - Carta

Great selection for me and my newly gluten free wife. Also, the biggest espressos we got in Berlin. Has a window counter area for eating.

We stop there for lunch, there was a small range of choice for meal but it was really good and more than enough. We eat in the little patio behind the shop.

Great health store with a good range of vegan and vegetarian health food and drinks. Fruit and veg is not wrapped in plastic. They use paper bags instead and also sell beeswax wraps/bags. Ver carta

If you are interested in food, you have to have a look into this shop. They have a lot of things you do not find in ordinary shops as Kaiser`s,Lidl or Aldi. Here you can find items cheaper than in KaDeWe or other big and more exclusive stores.

While this is a natural food store, it is far superior to the typical grocery stores in Berlin. Think small Whole Foods store. They have an excellent bakery, a good selection of cheese and wine and the store is spotless. A very pleasant experience. Much...nicer than the Edeka store that I went to.

Hoping for vegetables, we were happily surprised to find options for turkey salad and cheese potatoes and broccoli. Many other tempting vegetable offerings on the menu as well as pfannkuchen mit speck. The dark bier on tap is easy and compliments the lunch choices. They had a great vegan section at the bakery (make sure to be early, I found out the last thay, cause at the end of the day they are of course mostly sold out). All bio assortiment, on a nice spot under the railway. A few places outside to sit and have a nice slide of cake. Prices are higher, but not higher as most bio-stores. Liked the bag made of old plastic bottles! Thanks guys!

I was staying in Berlin for three days at a hotel just a minute's walk from the Bio Market. My room had a nice sized kitchen so I thought that Bio would be a good place to stock up. I was impressed with the selection and the prices were good. It would have been nice if they offered pre-made sandwiches, but that's okay. Also, the checkout process was a little time consuming with a long line and only one person working on the times I was there. But minor points. Bio is definitely worth a visit if you're staying in the area.

I found this excellent food supplier on my way to the Geothe Institute of Berlin. The store is full of excellent selections of Bio products from all around the world from fresh vegetables, daily milk products, meats, to some medical treatment goods.My only store during my staying in Berlin for cooking myself at my Wedding apartment except a few favourite restaurants (Turkish cuisines in Wedding as well as middle ranged high quality restaurant nearby Israeli Embassy in Berlin near Furtwängler Straße.)Staffs were somewhat in-between well-trained and ill-mannered. That is a pitfall. A lady who was responsible for fresh cheese was kind enough while many of cashiers were somewhat rude of them on... Ver carta
