Just Okay! The Sunday lunch was nice but vegetables were undercooked and the gravy was just the instant type, which was disappointing in a Sunday roast. The mushroom stroganoff was bland, tasteless and boring. The Cajun chicken was tasty but chips were again bland and undercooked. The visit was just okay, we would not rush back. However, the staff were nice but the tables felt sticky and need of a proper clean. The toilets were clean.

Great service from the waitresses as usual, checked everything was ok and took orders for food and drink in a timely way. It was Steak night so we opted for the deal, well worth it. Huge portion, the steak was tasty and perfectly cooked. The Bin 161 By Hardys Merlot isn’t a top end red but was nice paired with the steak. The man working on the night in a blue shirt needs to smile a bit more and interact with diners a bit more positively.

Met with family and friends at this pub. I have to write that the staff were extremely attentive and polite. The lunch was very enjoyable and the whole bill felt reasonable based on the quality of food and service provided. The location itself is clean and the pub has a great atmosphere with a good mix of age groups. The beer is superb and the choice of wine suits all palette’s. Based on my experience I would happily recommend the pub to friends, family and colleagues as overall we had a great afternoon.

AMAZING My husband and I travelled from London to visit family and stopped for lunch at this pub. Wow, so glad we did. We both agreed it was the best pub meal we’ve had in a long time. For starters, we had the prawns with chilli sauce, Hubby had scampi and chips, I had the cottage pie and for dessert sticky toffee pudding. It was all wonderful, lovely and hot and extremely tasty. 10/10. The staff were friendly and very happy, nothing was too much trouble. Please don’t hesitate and book a table. You won’t regret it.

Terrible. Had mushroom stroganoff which was basically a bowl of bovril with floating mushrooms, no hint of paprika, no creaminess just absolutely awful. They did remove it from the bill thankfully the waitress noticed that I didn’t eat it and went to speak to the chef. I have to say this used to be one of my favourite places to come but now i don’t think I will bother again. The last few times iv visited it’s been a 4/10 at best and the staff set up is bizarre. Ask for another drink, and one staff member then sends another one over to take the order.

Came to visit here on Sunday 24th September with my partner for our 2 year anniversary! This is a lovely restaurant, we both had a Sunday roast which was absolutely amazing! Succulent meat, roast potatoes to die for and the gravy was the perfect consistency!! For desert we had the kinder cheesecake, WOW I cannot begin to tell you how incredible it tasted! Melted in my mouth! Our waitress, Lisa was fantastic! Nothing was too much trouble, she was so attentive, so polite and professional! She is an absolute credit to your company!! Thank you so much Lisa!! We will definitely be returning very soon!

Hadn't visited this place for a while so decided to give it another go then seriously regretted it. My husband ordered the chicken steak dish but the chicken was dry and the steak over cooked. At £21 it was a lot of money to pay for a meal he didn't enjoy. When he quite rightly made a complaint at the end of the meal (as we weren't asked if everything was ok during the meal) and requested to speak to the manager, he wouldn't come to speak to us but sent a waitress to offer free desserts (we were BOTH offered) which we accepted as take aways. When we received the bill we had been charged for one of the desserts (presumably) the manager/owner informed us only one was free. He offered no apolog...

If you want to dine in style, but still have the warm comfort food this is your place to go to. They serve a wide variety of traditional meals at very very decent prices. The portions are absolutely huge as well, this considering what you’re paying for at the current times in different places. The staff is well trained and friendly and makes your experience better to be waited on from start to finish. The place is clean and well looked after for a traditional old pub, but in a modern style. They offer plenty of drinks choices too, and they have the bar area separated than the restaurant, so you can enjoy a nice quiet meal. We visited for a birthday (Sunday 3rd Sept) after being recommended here by a colleague. We arrived around 5 minutes early ... There was no one available to show us where to be seated at the front of the building so I had to pop my head around the bar to acknowledge someone to come over. A lady came to us who was friendly and pleasant and showed us to our table which was right next to the kitchen and looked like it was set up for a table of 8 not 5. Although a little disappointed with where we were sat, the drinks were ordered which came quickly and we were given menus for both the Sunday lunch and the main menu.
