Boathouse #4 - Carta

I reserved this restaurant for a family birthday party and everyone had a great time. The service and food were amazing. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion.

Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch celebrating the Birthday of my husband. We had a table by the window giving us a great view of the comings and goings in the harbour. Service was exceptional as was the delicious food. Would highly recommend,we will be back.

This place is fantastic. By far the best restaurant for miles. If you're keen to try modern British food at its best in a fabulous, historic setting with perfect service, then you need to be here. I've been a number of times and it's never disappointed. Great value for the quality. Ver carta

We'd been here for a wedding reception the weekend before, and saw the great brunch menu so decided to visit again with family on Saturday morning. Great location and really nicely decorated with interesting views across the harbour. Tasty coffee and good brunch options the miso eggs was popular with the vegetarian gluten free member of our group!

A group of friends went here for Sunday lunch. We did have a few problems communicating with the restaurant prior to the event and it seems that this is something they are aware of and addressing. The food was, in general, very good and the roast meats were particularly well cooked and delicious. The location is lovely and the service was friendly and attentive.

A hidden gem inside the dockyard. We went for Sunday lunch and have to say that the roast beef was cooked perfectly, amazing selection of vegetables and generous gravy jug to boot. Just the right levels of service and a good wine list. Wish we had visited before as I’m sure this is going to become our regular haunt. This venue deserves to be discovered by more and more people. Not a good experience. The waiter was taking us to a table but then left us to prepare a bill. He then took us to a table and then said it was reserved. We had to wait some while before he took the order. He didn't tell us what the starter and main of the day was. When the food arrived he'd forgotten we asked for bread. The service is 8n essence amateur.. which might be OK except it's pricey. Heaven knows what it's like when there are more than 6 tables.

I had a great experience at this restaurant with a fantastic location and outstanding staff. However, the wait for our main course was incredibly long. Despite this, I didn't mind as it was a quiet day on July 17th and my drinks arrived promptly. Unfortunately, the lamb dish I ordered was not as good as I had hoped. I reached out to the manageress, Ally, but did not receive a response which was disappointing. Despite this, I had a wonderful day at the dockyard and appreciated the delightful staff and volunteers who made our experience memorable. Overall, it was an awesome place and I am grateful for the hospitality.

The restaurant has a bright and airy atmosphere with a nautical theme, situated at the back of the building with great views overlooking Portsmouth Harbour and HMS Warrior. The starters were on the small side, more like samples than full portions. The tomato soup with roasted red peppers and freshly baked bread was delicious, but not enough. The main courses, however, were generous with a good amount of vegetables. The desserts appeared to be homemade and all dishes were well cooked and beautifully presented. The quality of the food was excellent, reminiscent of Masterchef: The Professionals. Everyone in my group enjoyed their meals and the service was attentive, polite, efficient and friend... Ver carta
