"I 'm a fan of the 'Lounges ' and I 've used the Bolero several times before. The food is usually reasonable, if a bit expensive. I tend to stick to the breakfast/Brunch menu but today I decided to try something different and chose the Bang Bang Chicken. £13.75 This was a mistake, It was very disappointing. Basically this was a crispy chicken burger sliced into three pieces and served with Noodles and stir fried veg. It could have been tasty but it wasn 't, it didn 't taste of anything. There was some sort of sauce which made one piece of chicken very soggy and a hint of peanut but the combination of flavours just didn 't work and it tasted (I 'm sorry to say unpleasant. I didn 't recognise this as the same meal advertised on the Menu. There were a few red chilli slices but these carried no heat and this dish was more Pop Pop than Bang Bang. However, staff were friendly and efficient, venue was pleasant though the toy 's they supplied to keep the kids happy need to be replaced. Blunt Crayons that dont draw aren 't the best way of entertaining a child. In future I 'll stick to the breakfast menu."

This meal was fantastic! I highly recommend it. I have celiac disease and the food was delicious. The main course and dessert were perfect.

Made very welcome. We only wanted a snack, service was good and the food was very enjoyable. Good atmosphere, clean and tidy. What more could anyone want? Will return.

Popped in for evening drink and dessert. Very cosy, staff really helpful despite it being busy. Vegan chocolate and raspberry torte was amazing. You wouldn't know it was dairy free

We had a fantastic lunch with our family of six, including a mix of vegan, gluten-free, and regular eaters, seated at table 3. The meal was excellent for all of us, with choices like a vegan tapas mix, gluten-free options, a breakfast dish, and a bowl mix for our granddaughter. We always enjoy our meals at the Yate branch and Abbey Wood.

Had lunch here on a busy Saturday. Even though it was busy, staff seated us quickly and we ordered via the QR code. Food was delicious, particularly the Korean Chicken Burger, as it was so so tasty and I was pleasantly surprised! We love the atmosphere at The Lounges and always enjoy a visit. Staff are always so friendly and chatty. Thank you!

Went for an evening Saturday meal as date night , ordered our food then the table next to us arrived with a very wet smelling dog , 10 minutes later the other side the same, not a great smell whilst eating a meal, this was an evening not an afternoon, not anti dogs at all but maybe a few’ no dog’s table’ required, the waitress hugging the wet dog made us leave

We had passed by this restaurant a few times and decided to stop in for dinner. We ordered the Halloumi burger, Bang Bang Chicken, and Buttermilk Chicken, along with Lime n soda, lemonade, and Diet Coke. The Buttermilk Chicken was overcooked and dry, but the chips were good. The Halloumi burger was well-cooked and tasty. The Bang Bang Chicken was delicious, with the raw chilis adding a nice kick. A couple came in with two dogs and sat at the next table, with the dogs' tails getting in the way. I moved, not a big issue, but it would be nice to keep dogs away from people eating. It's important to remember that not everyone is a fan of dogs. Overall, the meal was decent and well-priced, but the...

"Went for an impromptu meal with her indoors, as this was a local pub we've not been in for a long time we thought will pop in. Greeted by an over enthusiastic bar person who was dragging out the empties from the night before, ordered a couple of drinks and we sat down with the menu's, after perusing the menu we were ready to order, at the same time we were ready a regular couple walked in and sat at there regular table and oredered there regular meal, but the regular gentleman actually wanted an extra sausage with his sausage and chips, well! The kerfuffle this caused was astronomical, this conversation went on for Many many minutes, my wife and I was desperately trying to catch her attention to have another drink, eventually my wife went to the bar and waited, we got served eventually. Then our food came out of the kitchen, we went for the light bites as we were in a snacky mood, Chicken strips Mozzarella bites Chips with curry sauce and nachos. We never got the nachos as there was no guacamole BTW Chips came out which were actually fries, covered in this sauce, gross, then we had 3 chicken strips with no garnish £4.95 £1.63 each Then 4 mozzarella bites came out, no, nothing else just 4 mozzarella bites, £4.95 £1.24 each. So if you want have your pants pulled down and be robbed of your hard earned cash then this is the place to go, as for me and my wife we won't be. We did mention the poor quality and value for money but it was brushed under the dirty carpet and she was going to feed our comments back to the kitchen."

"Extremely disappointing visit and will not return. 2 of us were seated and told someone would be back to take drinks order. This took over 10 minutes. Meanwhile, a much larger table was seated next to us and had their orders taken. Their drink order arrived before ours had been taken. Ordered one beef roast and one lamb roast. Was average and certainly not worth the prices being charged. There are several better quality and better value roast lunches in the area. Ordered cauliflower cheese and pigs in blankets as extra. Cauliflower cheese was full of stalks and certainly not worth the £4.95 being charged. Even if this came as part of the roast, it still wouldn 't make the price of £19.50 for the dinner feel any better value. It was truly awful. Pigs in blankets didn 't arrive. My partner eventually caught the waitress ' attention after around 10 minutes, she asked where they were....really wish she hadn 't now! Waitress apologised, went straight to the kitchen and brought back a pot with 4 cold, dried up, burnt things in it. The sausage was completely dry and crumbly. Probably the worst pig in blanket I have ever tried to eat. We left these. Again, if they 'd have been included in the price of the lunch, the prices being charged is still not justified. No check on us during the meal or issues would have been highlighted. Restaurant area was incredibly hot, lots of people fanning themselves with menus. By the time i 'd finished lunch, I just wanted to leave. Waitress came to clear the table, still didn 't ask if everything was ok. Just asked if we 'd like to see the dessert menu. I replied no, we 'll just pay the bill please . Waitress said ok and disappeared. I 'd already seen the dessert menu and wasn 't going to pay £7.95 for any dessert after the quality of food I had already been presented with. Who can justify £7.95 for 3 scoops of ice cream anyway? I think that just proves how overpriced this place actually is! Waitress didn 't come back with the bill or card machine, neither did anyone else. We waited for 20 minutes and I decided to pay on the way out. It was only after, I realised that a 10% service charge had also been added to the bill of this overpriced food. Had I realised, this would have been taken off as the service was really poor."

"I was excited to revisit the New Inn after many years, as it used to be a favorite spot of mine. My group of 8 had pre-ordered at the request of the New Inn, but we were told 15 minutes after our booking time that our food was just being prepared. An hour later, our food still hadn't been served. After checking with the staff, the manager assured us that our order was next. Another 10 minutes passed before our food finally arrived. The gammon came with sides that we didn't like and were not mentioned on the menu. The portions were oversized, which was nice, but they were too much and off-putting. The salad trimmings were of poor quality. The fish in batter was enjoyed by those who ordered it. The main meals were okay, but I would have preferred better quality over quantity. We had to chase the staff for a glass of water, and even after being offered dessert menus, no one came to take our order. When we decided to follow up at the bar, the manager seemed more interested in finding out which staff member had failed to take our order than in solving the issue. The service was okay but could have been better, as no one checked on us after our meals were served. It seems like the staff could benefit from more positive training from a supportive mentor. When we asked for the bill, it took a while for it to be brought to us, so we ended up paying on the way out. It's a shame, as I had fond memories of the New Inn, but I am unlikely to return after this experience."
