"We ate here on our first night in Varenna and we’re lucky, as we didn’t have a reservation. It’s very quaint and we understand it is run by a female chef and a front person who was very personable. I ordered trout, polenta, and grilled vegetables. My husband had the “Special” pesto lasagna. Everything was delicious, although I would skip the vegetables next time as they were sliced too thin for my liking. We were treated to an after dinner drink of Amaro, which was a perfect ending to a delightful evening."

Deliciously quiet in a nice way from the crowd. Great service, kind and fast. And the food tasted delicious!

Had risotto with mushroom and gorgonzola for two. Taste was OK but everything was overpriced: got charged €3 per person service charge, €2.50 for a 0.5 liter carafe of cold water, €6 for a small side dish of vegetables.

The perfect one restaurant between old streets of Varenna. There is not a huge people and can find beautiful calm nice place to relax and eat a perfect dish. The staff was very polite and kindly. The menu was varied. It was perfect time spend there. Love this place.

Discovering this restaurant on our visit to Varenna was our highlight! The service was excellent, the ambiance is cozy and the pesto lasagna we ordered was delicious. The only thing that we didn’t like so much was the borgovino pasta but besides that everything was great!

Such an amazing experience, the food is beautifully prepared and delicious. The risotto was incredible. Small, intimate setting that was very comfortable. It's amazing this fabulous place only had a chef in the kitchen and one front of house person yet the service was as incredible as the food.

I put a lot of thoughts on the fact that this restaurant has 4 stars at the time of this review. Their food was mediocre. I mean, mediocre for Italian standards. I assume it was the tourists that were dazzled the vibe of the restaurant. They had this classy look and the waiter there was also one of those ‘classy’ ones. If you want to have a nice, romantic evening go there! Not for food though, they are just fine.

small but very welcoming, with retro atmosphere. friendly and helpful staff. in the specific case we were a little short with the times, we asked to be able to eat quickly and we were satisfied. between the tagliatelle of the ordinations Burgundy and cotolette shrimp and zucchini. really good and delicious, besides being plentiful. excellent value for money. only defect that being on the road does not have the lake view, but only get up after the meal and make two meters and the problem is solved.
