Borwin Hafenrestaurant

We got the ferry down from Warnemünde to have lunch in Rostock and came across this gem of a restaurant that wasn’t over crowded. Food was very good we would definitely return.

a beautiful place near the river, with views of the water and some ships passing, friendly service despite the amount, beautiful fish dishes, no fine restaurants, but one of the better places to eat when in rostock.

I was in many fish restaurants in northern Germany and it is not easy to find such a good quality. the mixed escape is absolutely one. the prices are really good for this quality. personal was amazing and very helpful in suggestions.

I was absolutely overwhelmed with the fish menu and the choices in which to measure how I experienced fomo! the fish soup was the star of what I had fresh, spicy enough and with good bites of amazing, fleshy fishing. the seafood plate and the oysters were on the same level. I'm coming back, though I live away!

Excellent.... Really excellent. The seafood menu with lobster and grated oysters, combined with the outdoor serving and the harbour view was magnificent. The personell had each a little too much to do in the prime time, so we had a feeling of waiting a little...too long in the beginning. However, we will definitely recommend this restaurant.

Strolling along Rostock’s waterfront we saw big black boards informing of fresh catch served today. We could not miss this opportunity and sat outside cause the weather was bit windy but sunny and warm. We chose pikeperch and turbot, on this day they offered four...more fishes and other local seafood. All was delicious and the service was prompt and hearty.

A day in Rostock and after walking for most of the morning we wanted a decent lunch with a good waterfront view. Borwin ticks all the boxes. A delicious plate of assorted pan-fried fish with sauté potatoes alongside a well constructed green salad. The fish...was super fresh and lightly cooked to perfection these guys know what they are doing with fish. A good selection of wines by the carafe supplemented an excellent meal reasonable prices too.

Was such a great evening. Was there with my family and we ordered shared platter for entrees and individual dishes for main. Amazing sea food. Everyone's food was really good although mine could have used some sauce. I asked for some and I...got it, so it was fine! I wasn't a big fan of my own dish, but that was on me for ordering something I didn't know. The other dishes were really nice. The service however was definitely the best part. Funny and attentive waiters, that was always ready for any request. Best service I've ever had. Thank you so much for a great evening!

We went there people and from the onset, we know something is not going in right direction. Obviously there was an issue in the kitchen and totally un synchronized communication between waiters/kitchen. Of course, this can happen everywhere. BUT after waiting for minutes and more times telling that we still have not got the food I have decide to close the bill an go in other restaurant. It is amazing to me that the commercially responsible or the operational responsible did-not even come to us to say simple WE ARE SORRY.... It shows me that this is a classic hit-and-run trap for a tourist. Skip if you can.
