Hidden gem. We had 3 courses and glass of wine each, £45pp inc service. Ragu pasta was so tasty, scallops and prawns cooked perfectly and a really light sponge for sticky toffee pudding. Excellent wine menu and great quality at the cheap end! It's really quiet at the moment so felt very covid safe. Really attentive staff.

Fantastic meal. Lovely service with a really friendly waiter who made sure we had our two courses before we had to leave for a show. We all had scallops to start, really beautiful with black pudding pieces too. For mains we had each beef fillet, ragu, and risotto. We all finished the whole lot. The dishes were beautifully and tasty but unfussy and also not expensive. Would definitely recommend. I’ll be going again and taking more friends!

This is my favorite restaurant in London, located on Cloth Fair just behind Smithfield Market. It has a small, cozy dining area that makes you feel like you're at an old friend’s house rather than in a traditional restaurant. With the arrival of Crossrail, it's now only a two-minute walk from the tube, yet it feels like you're on a lovely street in Oxford or York. The atmosphere is a beautiful mix of the city’s charm. The meat is consistently excellent, and the selection of wine and beer is extensive, unique, and delicious. real precious stone to the back of the barbican station in quiet lane. really friendly welcome and great eating. they even matched some of the dishes for the vegetarian in our group, e.g. the chicken from the blue maistostada and the chorizo from the girolle mushrooms with apricose and roasted mandel (also plucked as an addition of chanterelle.) the steak was very good as they might expect at the rande of smithfield and the black one who had come out with us the setting felt extremely relaxed and comfortable not stubborn, but a lot of evolved into the room and, big plus point for me: we could hear each other. that was not something that reflected minimalist noise box. everything in a great e...
