Brasserie Balzar - Carta

Friendly service; generous portions; fine food. One of my favorite places to go in Paris.

a good reception and professional service, the map is classic for a brewery. We all had good food, salmon and beef and desserts.

This was our eighth time visiting the Balzar and it was just as enjoyable as the first time in it's previous location. The only thing missing was our favorite waiter who is now, in all likelihood, retired. It is still our favorite in Paris.

we had a wonderful experience here in our last night in paris. the rough mirror interior was somewhat loud at times, but at the same time characteristic. we had fish and meats that were both very well prepared and in reasonable quantities. the service was excellent. Ver carta

Not sure why reviews are not better. A classic French Brasserie with traditional plates. I’ve always enjoyed my food and have had very good service as well. Yes, it’s a bit pricey but also high quality. Also, an excellent choice in an area without many other great offerings.

We reserved for 20:30, and when we arrived, it was not half full, but when we left at 22:45, it was nearly full. We were graciously welcomed, the decor is classic brasserie style, and the beef dishes proved especially good. A delightful time with French friends, who seemed as pleased as we Americans were.

The Balzar is charming in many ways: it has not been fancied up and features large tables where parties can dine comfortably along the banquettes which is charming. The noise level is good and the Blanquette de Veau extraordinaire -with a superb cheese souffle au gruyere to kick things off. The Tarte Tatin was perfect served with creme fraiche. Spectacular, charming, and not pretentious all wrapped up in one. Even the vin ordinaire was excellent. Ver carta
