"Sunday lunch and the car park was full. Family lunch for 6 adults. Felt the pub was losing its ‘pubiness’ as had to be seated at our table and wait for waitress service to get the drinks round before the meal was ordered. Unusual way to price the Roast meals with 2 or 3 meats choices, meaning less amount of meat given for less s? Served vegetables instead of choosing oneself. Waitresses disappeared after deserts were served could have asked if more drinks/coffees required. Seems a was added to my pint of IPA, to my 13.95 roast and my 6.95 sticky toffee pudding over priced in comparison to expectations. Lots of people unmasked at tables in close proximity to each other no ventilation so was a little aware of Covid risk. First visit. Looks worth another when attractive outside area would spread the load."

"This meal was beyond amazing! We were camping close by and decided to have dinner at a pub. We had no idea just how fantastic the dinner would be. The vegetarian and vegan options were outstanding, and everything we ordered was phenomenal. Our dogs were allowed inside, which was a huge plus, and the staff made us, including our kids, feel very welcome. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was great. If we ever find ourselves in the area again, we will definitely be coming back!"

"The service at this restaurant is extremely slow. It seems like the staff is more focused on other tasks rather than attending to the tables. We had to wait for around 10-15 minutes for our table to be cleaned after finishing our meal, even though the restaurant was not very busy. The food was mediocre and there were only a limited number of options to choose from. Overall, it's not worth another visit."

"I went here just over a couple weeks ago for my birthday. We were a party of 4 and got sat on a really beautiful, fairy lit round table which we couldn’t believe was so lovely. The staff were brilliant. All very attentive and personable. We felt very cared for throughout the evening, it was fabulous service. So much so I’ve kept meaning to leave this review. They left quite the impression. Our table were 2 vegans and 2 meat eaters and all of us were extremely pleased with the food. I tried bits of each meal and have to say the Glazed Okonomiyaki was beautiful, the pancake was insane. What really was a treat was the slice of cake they brought out for me after discovering it was my birthday at the end. They made my evening feel truly special and left us all singing their praises. We will be coming back and recommending them to anybody and everybody. Thank you so much Rivergreen for a truly memorable evening, we had the most fabulous time."

"This has been my favourite restaurant in the part of Norfolk for a number of years. It is good value for the quality of food. Today, the starter was absolutely delicious scallops and belly pork but my main sea bass was over-salty and the green veg was not salted at all, so far as I could tell. The people at the next table to ours said the same about the sea bass, I believe. It was as though someone had salted it twice by accident However, the textures of the food were all spot on and I will still be going back again, (though maybe with a tiny reminder not to over-salt the food). The veg was fresh and one could taste the individual flavours of the various vegetables Sadly, we were too full to try the puddings, but they looked good and varied and, for once unlike many other restaurants I go to, they were not all based on dark chocolate, as I (for one) do not wish to have strong chocolate any time after 11:30am, or it keeps me awake at night The service was very friendly, but we were perhaps asked too often if it was alright, even before we spoke about the level of salt. The ambiance there is always good, relaxed but not too casual."
