"All in all, a good address if you are looking for good German pub food in a busy place. People are sitting really close together and noise level is quite high, so not the place for a romantic dinner. However, ambiance is nice and personnel...is friendly (with the exception of the doorkeeper who was physically and verbally rude). I had a pork knuckle which was really crispy (as I like it). Other dishes we had were different types of meat on a stick, rumpsteak and schnitzel... Dessert was a lava cake... you won't go home hungry ;"

A very nice restaurant with a lot of history in a central spot of Cologne. Very good service, reasonable prices and local dishes.

we wanted a real German food experience for our evening in Koeln. Here it was! Nice place in the Altstadt. Real German athmosphere. Food was excellent and the beer was good. Staff was nice and kind. Highly reccomended

Unfortunately due to Covid they had a very limited menu. We had vegetarians in our party and had checked the menu in advance but all the veggie stuff was not available which meant it was literally a plate of grilled veg. But service was pleasant,...and the food we did have was tasty.

the place is very beautiful. eating is amazing. I tried the carving, the pork and the typical sausage from there. everything was well served with the good colsh beer. dirk and the staff are very friendly and nice. I would. place recommended for anyone looking for a friendly atmosphere and good eating.

We wanted to try the true German food and this was the restaurant which caught my attention. I was right, because it was awesome! The waitress was quick and nice. The food was even better: we ordered schnitzel, bratwurst and the pork shank. Huge portions...so I suggest not to order both starters and main course. A great experience!
