"We were happy enough to be in the bar area restaurant in a beautiful corner table with open view over Hinterglemm and illuminated night skiing. Far better than in the restaurant for our family without a view. We were supervised by the arrival of Mihalis, who made us all drinks and cocktails at the bar that were excellent in their own right! We then had the amazing raised seating table in the corner of the bar area for us 5 diners. Whole restaurant menu naturally in this area, its not bar food. Appetiser of Bread, while we waited for appetizers, it is not only bread trust me, worth every penny for parma ham, butter and olive oil dip. Tuna and Wasabi starters were amazing as the Carpaccio and the Burrata. The mains were also excellent, can't honestly remember what we ate, but the children loved the burger, I loved the fish. Had a nice bottle of Pinot Grigio to wash everything, followed by Mihalis to drink special pallet cleaners. A fantastic evening that costs more than elsewhere in Hinterglemm, but was worth every euro for service, drinks and food! We rebooked immediately for later in the week and had our bad dining table ready for us when we returned."

"The restaurant came recommended from some friends, though they hadn't tried the fondue, it didn't disappoint! Our table was already laid out for us in arrival ( you need to prebook the fondue) to start we had a meat and cheese plate to share watch out for the horseradish. There was plenty of meat, Pork,Beef and Chicken along with a large bowl of chips and salad as well as bread, we finished it off with Apple Strudel and Chocolate fondue, our waiter was excellent and attentive.Getting there, any taxi will know where to take you, or you walk up the Spielberg weg about a 10 to 15 minute walk from the top of the pedestrianised road in town. You will need 9 Euro cash per person to pay the Pisten Bully driver.For the way down, ski trousers are recommended if you are going to toboggan, you can get the Pisten Bully down if there are number of other people doing the same or get on the back of a skidoo, I would recommend mentioning when making a reservation that you don't want to toboggan down."

"We stayed at the Avenida mountain lodges and decided to try the hotel restaurant. Have to say that even though the restaurant considers itself as a fine dining place the requirements are not met - not even close. The personnel is very unprofessional and they had huge difficulties to remember all of our orders. The waitress forgot to bring a dessert to one of us despite we asked it twice. I can't even describe how disorganized the waitress was in overall (dropping items, forgetting stuff etc.)We ordered three course menu which was a "cook's" suprise. The starter was a tomato soup and the main course rump steak. How basic and straightforward options are these? In addition, the dessert was a sorbet which was actually not sorbet. Three course menu was 33€ and i feel that it was not worth it - highly overpriced! Furthermore we noticed that the "cook" in the restaurant is the same guy who is responsible for the hotel's ski shuttle during the day time which is super confusing. Unfortunaltely i have to say that even though the interior is luxurious, the service including the whole personnel is very unprofessional and bad. Overall the experience was well below of our expectations!"

"Stayed in the hotel here after booking a holiday through SunWeb. Location Excellent! Right in the centre of the town. All 3 lifts are close, so can easily access all the different ski areas. I would say the best located hotel in Saalbach. Wifi Doesn 't work. Rooms Basic but unbelievably clean, not a spot of dust! Beds and towels changed daily. Good amount of coathangers in the wardrobe. No kettle. Bathroom Small but useable, hot water for about 10 minutes then flicks between hot and cold. Balcony Shared. Views Cracking! Can see the piste from room 11. Breakfast Pretty poor. Ham, cheese and bread, 3 different cereal choices. Yoghurt (all seem to be blueberry flavoured). This didn 't change for the week so by day 7 we were pretty fed up of it. The staff (I think owners) made themselves fresh bacon and eggs daily and sat in the restaurant eating it while we 're eating the cold ham and cheese sandwich, kind of felt wrong. Check in the hotel was called Pension Schattbergstube on SunWeb, the transfer dropped us outside this restaurant and it really wasn 't clear if it was a hotel, I tried ask the man behind the bar but he didn 't speak any english. Luckily one of the waitresses did, she advised that it is the right place and housekeeping would show us to our room. Housekeeping didn 't speak any english either, no indication where to store the skis, what time breakfast was, anything. For the whole stay we were unable to comunicate with staff, I understand that it shouldn 't be expected for people to speak English, but there was no attempt to communicate Everywhere I have stayed previously we have at least used charades to try and make it through. I would stay at this hotel again for the location, not for anything else."

"nachdem ich die Bewertungen gelesen habe, dachte ich mir müssen wir ausprobieren.. Schnitzel schmeckt gut, aber nicht außergewöhnlich.. aber das Wienergulasch ist echt der Hammer so zart das Fleisch zergeht dir auf der Zunge & die selbstgemachte Spätzle auch sehr lecker .. waren gleich 2 Tage hintereinander beim Essen, auf jeden Fall zum empfehlen!!"
