very beautiful fish and chips. I had a beside salad instead of muddy. my mother had the gammon who was very nice too. great value and tasty. would recommend.

We had a lovely lunch today after a walk along the canal. The sweet potato and spinach curry was really nice and the staff were friendly and attentive. Would definitely come again.

The plates were dirty, the spoons were used, and it took a long time for the food to arrive. It was clearly microwaved, and improvements are definitely needed. Food: 1, Service: 1, Atmosphere: 3. Ver carta

Looking for an evening meal and came across the large Anchor Inn at the side of a Premier Inn. Looked ideal only to find that after 5.00pm only prebooked diners or hotel guests are catered for. Appalling. Shame I had to give it one star. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

I called during a few lunch breaks, and as anyone with children knows, it sometimes takes longer to feed babies and manage the timing of meals. This happened to me today when I had to step away to change my baby. The lovely lady serving us, I believe her name was Vicky, kindly took my meal away to keep it warm for me without even asking. I've experienced this in other restaurants and pubs before, but I wanted to say thank you once again!

Brilliant experience. We were here 2 days, my son has food intolerances and the staff were so helpful and ensured he had safe food, well cooked and served. We are here 2 x dinner and 2 x breakfast and cannot praise the team highly enough. Good food (we did the Yorkshire 3 Peaks and the staff remembered and asked how we went on) we definitely needed sustenance! I was part of a family mini break to Skipton and the surrounding area, staying next to the Anchor Inn for our two day stay and enjoying the excellent menus at breakfast and evening meal. We were made to feel welcome from the outset and the staff ensured that our every need was catered for, even if it did mean a little deviation from the 'set ' presentation. The menu catered for all tastes and the portion sizes were impressive and filling. Our thanks go to 'Anchor ' Staff, Jade, Becca, Alex, James, Andy, Paul and Jess. Thank You

We just returned from celebrating my parents' 50th anniversary, and it was a wonderful experience. There were 14 of us, including four children, and we had made a reservation. Upon arriving, we were warmly greeted by a lovely woman who escorted us to our table and even took our cake to the kitchen for us. The food was delicious, and despite ordering in separate groups, everything came out at the same time. The service was exceptional—very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely return. Thank you for making this such a special occasion!

We stayed at the premier inn here for one night on 2 Feb 21, nice, clean pleasant premier inn. Nxt door is the cookhouse, we had the hunters chicken with all the trimmings, great value at £8.99 for two meals, the option to double up on the chicken for only £1.99 is fantastic value. We found the staff v friendly helpful. One of the waiters (Andrew) we found especially pleasant, he was so helpful was full of smiles, v refreshing to see a friendly smiling face from someone who looked busy but found time to accommodate the customers, well done Andrew thank you.
