Another great place to get a salt beef beigel . They have a great selection of pastries and cheesecakes as well as great breads .

Lovely beigals and other delicacies the cannolis are perfect we’ve bought some for journey home. Has to compete with neighbouring shop which often has long queues this one is a close second for beigals ,you won’t be disappointed.

Bought 2 plain bagels they were still warm! Couldn't resist eating them straight away.. they tasted incredible, the texture was doughy and chewy, definitely the best bagels we've had. We went back and bought a dozen more to take home! Ver carta

Amazing bagels. Went December 6th 8am with my sister before work. Amazing they are open 24 hours, family owned and have been here for 3 decades and still churning out great tasting bagels. Love their salmon cream cheese and the salt beef is better than the famous one a few doors down.

The beagles are cheap, the food is tasty, the service is nice and they open 24 hours. The communist in me is a little worried about the schedules of the workers, but the part of me that loves their bagels and its price wouldn't care even if the bagels were made by tubercolous kids in a coal mine.

Why in gods name are there women working here that are so rude! They don’t even use basic manners they talk to people like the world owes them something, there is another shop next door far more polite to people, I have been coming here for 50 years and lived here all my life, I was ashamed to take friends here last night! As most will know there are 2 Beigel Shops on Brick Lane next door to each other. It seems the other one is supposedly the 'best ' however after several visits to both I would rate this one 4/5 and the other 3/5! Controversial! This one has better service, more friendly staff and it also serves Jam Beigels (whereas the other doesn 't , so have to say this is my fav (it’s also slightly closer to my flat!

I was staying in Shoreditch area recently where both the famous Bagel Bakeries (White board and this one with yellow board) are at walking distance. So I decided my own battle of Salt Beef bagels. I have visited the neighboring bakery multiple times but this was my first time trying this place. So to remove bias, I tried Salt Beef bagels from both these places twice. My consensus is very clear now. There is reason the other one (White board) has more customer queues. On both attempts, I found Salt Beef bagels at this place quite stale. People have raved about this place. All I can say is that aside from being the oldest Beigel Shop, that's. where it ends. I took. my son and we ordered the classics, the cream cheese and salmon and the salted beef with mustard and pickle. The newer shop had women with poor food hygiene, no gloves, one wiped the sweat off her face with a tea towel and then wiped her hands with it and then continued to touch the food. So we went the original shop. After getting over the medieval looking shop, having paid and left to savour the goods. What overpriced tat.
