"Short story: During my period of study, this peppercorn was still called "old climbers" and was the first place in the old market that had its outside seat. Later the restaurant was renamed in 'Brinkhoff 's No.1' and finally in 'Pfefferkorn 's No.1', you have changed like the audience there, and only recently I discovered the restaurant again for me. Today: As the outdoor seats are covered, they are well visited even in bad weather. The advertising boards for special offers are also placed in the outdoor area. There you will find out which daily dishes (which are actually offered at an affordable price, or what there are for special features on the big counter that actually forms the center of the local. Theke may sound uncomfortable, but this is not so, because around the counter there are comfortable seats. Especially the small negative things to the place itself. Only the front area near the door is really barrier-free, the other areas are enlarged and only a few steps away. Then comes the lighting, everything looks pretty dark, so ceramic lamps are mounted over the tables that focus the light on the table and are closed to the outside. So far I have only experienced well-trained and helpful employees. But while you often complain about lack of attention in other restaurants, it is often too much here. I don't like being watched at dinner (sleep? crackers? However, this is even better than the staff must draw attention through loud singing or punching. I think it's nice that you are welcomed by the managing director who creates the atmosphere. There are tables for two people, but also for larger groups, the seats are really comfortable, and leg freedom is guaranteed. Local and international cuisine are offered, the food is really excellent. Last time we had Förster pork with roasts and side salad (14,90€) and Schnitzel Meran with French frits and salad (12,90€). Two pesto varieties are added to the salad (basilicum or tomato paste). Freshly tapped Brinkhoffs 0.3 l costs 2.80€, and the Grau Burgund 0.2l for 5,90€ was just as I love wine. I find the prices appropriate for quality, and I would really recommend a visit to the restaurant."

Urgemütliche Atmosphäre, leckeres Essen, sehr aufmerksamer und dabei unaufdringlicher Service, top Lage am Alten Markt alles bestens! Und dann noch frisches Hövel's von Fass ... hmmm. Jederzeit wieder!

Super leckere Steaks, gebraten wie gewünscht. Sehr nettes Personal. Wer gerne Steak mag, sollte dorthin gehen. Glücklicherweise haben wir ohne Reservierung einen Platz bekommen. Ich hatte ein Rinderfilet und meine Frau ein Rumpsteak.

Wir waren mit zwei Personen am Abend essen. Die Bedienung war schnell, zuvorkommend und freundlich. Das Essen hat gut geschmeckt. Einen Punkt Abzug gibt es, weil eine Reservierung nur tagsüber und nicht kurzfristig möglich ist, sowie eine telefonische Erreichbar nicht gegeben war. Trotzdem steht eines fest, wir kommen wieder. So schnell wurde ich nich nie bedient. Es hat keine fünf Minuten gedauert, dann könnten wir die Getränke bestellen. Als diese kamen Essen bestellen und die Krönung war, es hat keine 5 Minuten gedauert, da war das Essen da. Man fragte zwischendurch ob alles gut ist und war sehr aufmerksam, trotz das es so voll war. Ich komme gerne wieder.

Essen ist hier Super, kann man sich nicht beschweren. Sehr lecker !! Preislich ist es Okay. Die Preise sind der Inflation angepasst und so schon deutlich teurer ans früher. Für ein Steak geht man auf die 40€ zu. Service technisch hat man gerade Abends wenn es voll ist manchmal das Gefühl sie sind unterbesetzt. Ambiente ist sehr hübsch, trotzdem muss man Glück haben mit den Tischen da diese teilweise dann doch recht eng aneinander stehen.
