"Amazing. Very classy, clean and well orchestrated restaurant. Welcome clientele worthy of this name. Very well erect table and a pleasant surface for lunch in all serenity. Plate, covered, glasses, bread, table decoration, well presented. Comfortable and well-suited seat. At the kitchen level, I am very surprised by the presentation. Congratulations to the teamworkers, cooks, waiters. Finally, I find a catering service made in the rules of art, with a home cooking, excellent, accompanied by a wedding of flavors, that awakens taste buds. Cheese tray of the country, which allows to discover the know-how of this region. Tasteful and generous dessert. Hold between reasonable dishes. For coffee, total surprise. At the disposal of a different panel of taste, between Jamaica, Colombia, Mexico, Ethiopia etc. with accompanying mignardises (meringue, fruit paste . My advice: For medium budgets, the menu at 40€ is very correct (entrance, main course, cheese, dessert, separate coffee (4 to 5€ . The menu at 56€ offers more choices. If you want to enjoy yourself and have a good time, don't hesitate to book. Enjoy. Very nice discovery in this part of the Creuse."

"This place has unfortunately changed well. Order this noon a creusian fondu, I'm served a few fries accompanied by a ramequin with the fondu in it. No charcuterie or crudities served with... That's the limit... who are we kidding??"

"Considering the fully inclusive cost per person of c15-21 euro per person, depending when you go, to include the fantastic choice of freshly prepared food, all your wine, beer and soft drinks. It's all available on a 'as much as you want basis' and so you can be sure not to leave hungry. If you visit when busy as we did at 8.30pm on a Saturday you see the efficiency of the operation in ensure the fresh food is always topped up and the tables are cleaned and reset immediately the previous customers leave. Very friendly with a great buzz. Very out of place for Gueret, hence I guess it's why it's so popular. We visit the Cruese area every year and will include a visit here every time."

"3.5 stars. This is a chain restaurant with potato-oriented dishes and theme. Ambiance was funny because inside was decorated with all kinds of kitchen/home stuff you can imagine including antique utensils, plates and even parts of roof was used as a room divider. Menu was... meat / potato concentrated. All come with different types of potatoes or you can add different toppings to baked potatoes to make the meal. You can even get a burger with potato bun. Price was ok (between 10-15 euros). Local famous cheese fondue with Pomm Frites is available if you are interested. Good place for lunch."

"My wife and I took our son and his wife to Le Moderne for lunch; it was my first visit to the restaurant, having eaten outside on a previous occasion. The inside is nothing short of magnificent; large airy dining rooms, recently very tastefully refurbished....The menu was varied and included a dish of the day which I regretted not ordering; a very generous portion of mashed potato, sausages and gravy which looked superb. Once the staff realised we were Brits, and struggling a little with the language, they happily changed to speaking excellent English [isn't it embarrassing, wish I could speak the language? 4 generous lunches with wine and beer cost 45 Euros; outstanding value. I will definitely visit again."
