"Ca'Bastian was recommended to us by Francesca of Agroturismo Sant'Andrea were we were staying. We thoroughly enjoyed all the dishes that were always freshly prepared by Chef Walter and went back every single night during our stay. Every meal as well as the wines and prosecco of Cantina Sant'Andrea were excellent, e.g. steak tartar or beef carpaccio as a starter, fillet with pepper sauce, lamb chops, mixed grill, grilled sausages and pork chops always prepared to the point with veggies and sides from the region one can truely taste the difference! During the 6 visits we enjoyed the hospitality of Walter and Flavia very much and therefore are happy to highly recommend a visit. Thank you, Walter Flavia we will be back for sure! Steffen Liz"

Family run restaurant in Maser operating for over 30 years. Nice traditional decor, very friendly service. Authentic tasty food. Excellent pasta. A lovely taste of northern Italy

Cibo molto molto buono, materie prime ottime. Personale educato, simpatico e di una grande disponibilità. Abbiamo preso un primo, cappellacci fatti in casa con porcini e taleggio ed una grigliata mista, entrambi eccezionali. Rapporto qualità prezzo davvero ottimo! Super consigliato! First time that I have arrived to Ca Bastian, and even tho that the place was empty of people (maybe because Iam Spanish and we eat late) all the food was incredible, I ordered chef's pasta and it was one of the best pasta's i've eaten in my life... such a good taste... a few tables joined after me, so atmosphere was good! I asked also for wifi and inmediatedy got a password to connect. Really nice place, recomended! Hopefuly I will come over more times!

"There are many surprises in life, but finding not just sushi this good but proper Japanese cuisine in this corner of Italy was a welcome surprise. Bear in mind the pride of the Italians, it is not so likely that you find ANY other cuisine except for I am told a fairly popular 'Tex Mex ' we all have to rebel against Mama 's cooking eventually even if only for a night . So my expectations were not high, but I was blown away not just by the quality of food, but decor and service too. I am told he is leaving soon, but our waiter Riccardo spoke english perfectly and was patient and friendly and by the end of the first visit we went twice in a week was laughing and enjoying a drink with us at the end. The food ...surprisingly I am not the greatest fan of Sushi except for Sashimi it should be about simple quality of ingredients and preparation, not how many things you can think . of to throw together but europeans don 't buy into that concept , I find modern sushi over complicated, but it was VERY good, why, the care and attention in preparation quality of ingredients. My co diners were also very impressed. What got me is that for the first time outside of London or Japan I was able to eat Unagi Domburi grilled eel on rice and it was not just available, it was FANTASTIC. We also tried the Teriyaki Chicken and I was also blown away ...top quality chicken, properly cooked before the sauce added to the perfect quality and quantity consider myself to be an expert in the finer points of this dish and am rarely this impressed and it is so often just thrown together to make those who don 't like sushi happy . Lets I forget forget the Miso soup ..local wild mushrooms I think plus a quails egg that poaches in your bowl as you eat if you don 't break it with your spoon you will find this hidden gem is also highly recommended. I was with friends, but if you have a date near Asolo you will be sure to impress him/her with a night here, the food, decor, lighting and ambience mean all you have to take care of is your captivating conversation ; I massive double thumbs up from me."

"We wanted to like this restaurant. We dined here many years ago and anticipated reliving that experience. Unfortunately, something was missing. The setting is absolutely perfect. One can choose to sit with a view of the valley, a garden experience or the dining room. Unfortunately, the positives largely ended there. We ordered carpaccio as a first course. They initially brought out gazpacho believing that that was the ordered first course. The carpaccio that they brought was very pretty but contained far too much mayonnaise and not enough arugula. We didn’t enjoy it. Our second course was a baked pasta dish which I liked and my wife did not. I would eat that dish again. We shared the veal Milanese as our final course. It was fine. We had to ask for lemons to be squeezed on it. We should not have had to ask. The vegetables were nicely prepared. The common theme is that the food was fine but the service was not acceptable. The waiters were very pleasant and nice. There was no headwaiter/maître d’. That was unacceptable and the service clearly showed the absence of a leader. I mentioned it to Concierge the next day who acknowledged it. He simply acknowledged it. Nothing more. Our server Laura was a shining star. She is perhaps the reason we gave the restaurant four stars rather than three. As a guest of the hotel for several days this is especially disappointing. The hotel and setting are spectacular. The restaurant has an indisputable heritage as witnessed by one Michelin star. It’s clearly not up to par."
