"We didn't stay in a room, I was really disappointed! The breakfast was just warm, but the presentation was good, and it looked good on the plate.. That's as good as it got! My yolk on my fried egg was hard and nut runny, and they pride themselves on the Black Bull Beans. These aren't for me, like little bullets, hard and very bland! I was told after my meal I could have had normal baked bean if I wished!! No good telling me after! "What a hidden gem! My partner and I chose this place for my birthday dinner, and it didn't disappoint. The rump steak was the best I've had in a long time, just like the mixed grill we ordered. The staff knew it was my birthday, and when we ordered the fudge cake, they brought it out with a candle that sang happy birthday! The atmosphere was lovely, and the service was incredibly friendly. We will definitely visit again when we're in the area!"

"I went there for Christmas dinner with my partner and we had a horrible experience will never go again. My partner had steak which was lovely but the chips, onions, sauce and other accompaniments were cold. I had traditional turkey the only edible thing was the carrots and turkey! The roast potatoes were hard as rock and seemed either overcooked or cooked from frozen. The parsnips I couldn’t cut, cauliflower was hard and the pigs in blanket was so hard it couldn’t be cut. There wasn't even a yorkshire pudding. We complained just about mine and they brought me a new one but that was worse. In the end I only ate a few carrots and some turkey. I complained again when he came to ask how it was again. He said he would ask manager to come over, he took 15/20 mins in meantime my psrtmer had eaten his steak and I was just sat there. The manager offered to let us have our 1 drink each free plus one more round. I was grateful they had offered but it had still spoiled my Christmas and I was emotional as I work every year as a nurse on Christmas Day and cook when I get in (for 40 years) this was the only time I had been out for christmas dinner. It took 50 mins to clear our plates. I just wanted to go home but we had dessert to eat so I had that it was nice but was described as Eton Mess but it was just a big meringue with a dollop of cream on and about 2 strawberries chopped up no sauce at all. The server was nice but we couldn’t get anyone’s attention to get a drink even though we were the last sitting and the kitchen was closed, it wasn’t that busy. I am disappointed and even though they tried to help me it wasn't enough, when we paid £90 each. They warm everything up in the microwave I think apart from meat and fish that’s what it tasted like anyway."

"If you're in Calverton or even nearby, you must visit Fishable. They offer both takeout and dine-in options. The staff is incredible, and the food is freshly cooked, delicious, and served piping hot. There's a large selection of cod, squid, cakes, and all the classic chip shop favorites, as well as kebabs. I tried the cod and chips with mushy peas (from the kids' menu, haha), and it was wonderfully crispy with no greasiness at all. I highly recommend it! The restaurant and dining area are immaculate, making it a lovely place to enjoy your meal."

"Met some friends for breakfast this morning. Been here several times and it's always been lovely. However, I was horrified today, to hear the Manager call one of the staff members in from outside to not only shout at him in front of all the other staff members, but loud enough for all of the customers who were sitting outside to hear. I appreciate that sometimes you need to have a word with members of staff, but surely you take them to one side and talk to them discreetly instead of bellowing at them so all of the customers could hear. The poor boy was only young and if I was his Mother I'd be horrified. Everybody has to learn it just takes some people longer to learn than others and I dont think bellowing and shouting in front of everybody helps. This really upset me and has put me off visiting again."
