Café Brasserie des Commerçants - Bistrot Niçois

I went to this bistrot Niçois with some friends and I found the place lovely. The food is very good (try the wonderful "chasse" and the superb desserts) and the service fantastic.

A small restaurant a bit after Plainpalais, service is great, the owner is doing the service, he knows his food and his wine, ask him for some advice, he will guide you. Typical Provence food and wine, very good atmosphere. A must try in Geneva

Since this brasserie is Nicoise I have assumed I could order Nicoise salad but instead I've had tiger prawns in a pink sauce with cognac which was superb. Service was excellent and with perier soda in almost 40 degrees celsius there isnt much else you can hope for. Ver carta

Very pleasant surprise and a good find ( don't get scared by scruffy looking neighbourhood) Restaurant is spacious, kids (and prams) friendly with kind and efficient stuff. Food ingredients are locally sourced so fresh and very seasonal. Food very tasty and nicely presented, will return.

Nice place!Friendly staff!I went there with my boyfriend and two friends for dinner on a Saturday night! I found it great!Good food, good wine!I ordered the tagliatelles with pesto rosso, my boyfriend got the filet de sandre with lentils, my friends had the calamari and escargots.We all really liked our meals!

tucked away in Carouge,this place is Simple but what great food without the frills.From correctly priced dish of the day,to a menu a la carte in the evenings.Book in advance to avoid disappointment,the very traditional dishes from Nice,are just mouth watering.Great owner ,looks sometimes out of control ,but friendly and very helpful in his advice.Good wine to accompany the various dishes. I have been already a few times at this restaurant for supper.I've never been disapointed. The many authentic plates i have tasted do really make me travel to South of France/ north of Italy.The owner (who also makes the service) is passionated about his Job and the food he servesFurthermore the wine card is interesting, pricewise and qualitiwise.If you do't know wich wine to choose let him pick one up for you.The restaurant (inside) can be slightly overheated/noisy in the summer but the terasse wil alway be here to welcome you.Highly recommended

I wasn't very hungry, so I looked for a restaurant close to my hotel where I could get a nice salad. This restaurant came up with pretty good reviews, though one of them complained that their Nicoise salad was not Nicoise. Well, I had no such experience. Although I had to wait a bit, despite being only one of three people seated for dinner, it was worth it. I was given the best salad Nicoise I have ever had. It was composed of very fresh lettuce (several types), both cherry and beef-steak tomatoes, cucumber, anchovies, chips of a hard cheese (probably Emmenthal), hard boiled egg, and topped off with a pan-fried piece of red tuna that had a basil pesto on it. It was almost a meal in itself an...
