Cafe de La Place - Carta

Yum! After failing at a not so great seafood dinner, we came here for a 2nd dinner.

Minus star! My experience was bad!_The waiter was rude cuz for him since I didn't want to eat, just coffee is waste of his time!_As a field specialist

Excellent rustic food, I had a special of calamari risotto which was tasty and filling and very reasonably priced.Service is energetic and good lovely atmosphere could sit out the evening.This place won't break the bank either as a couple we have eaten well for 60 euros including a bottle of wine Ver carta

we had 4 different dishes amongst a table of 4 - my beer tartare was actually not great, but everyone elses dishes were really good. Especially one of the pizzas!They have heating outside for a chilly april night, a decent beer selection (for Nice, meaning more than 2) and pretty nice prices.We got really good wine pours too ;)

We were staying around the corner from Place Garabaldi and decided to eat locally. This restaurant was a lovely find - caters for all ages fron child to senior! Service quick and reasonably priced for Nice. We had child meals and adult mains -all were tasty (& filling) and the desserts were described (by 11 yr old) as superb ...! Great night - we will be back again his week

The waiter overcharged us and when we told him, instead of rectifying, he stormed away and then came back like a crazy person shouting in front of everyone and cursing at us to leave. He even went out of the restaurant and kept shouting at us. That was the craziest most unproffesional waiter I've ever seen. If you want someone to yell at you and treat you like trash go to Cafe de la Place. Ver carta

We just had a terrible meal! Five of us all agreed and we had three different choices from the menu. Four of us chose from the "plat du jour" menu, we've had better roast chicken at a chippie in London, tasteless, dried out measly chicken, no herbs, no flavour and accompanied with wrinkled dry new potatoes and the "salad" looked like a handful of leaves from a supermarket pack! One niece had a Caesar salad, the chicken was breaded so not a Caesar salad at all, one had the lamb (also from the plat du jour menu) over cooked and grey! A complete rip off and so disappointing!

ATROCIOUS behavior from the waiter. This is what happened -We had happy hour cocktails and the waiter overcharged us. (The bill was different from the price on the happy hour sign.) When we told him about the problem with the bill, he left without a word (probably to talk to the manager), then came back and began shouting at us. He was cursing and threatening us, shouting that we leave and never come back, that we were "banished" from returning. The manager was watching the whole time and didn't do anything. Though France is notorious for poor service, this was another level. Absolutely HORRIBLE experience.

Went here with my daughter on a tuesday night. There were a lot of people in this restaurant so we thought it might be a good one... But it wasn't :-( My daughter's hamburger was the only hood thing about this dinner, it tasted good and was ok in size. My ravioli with salmon was a disaster. Cold and very small. Also the amount of salmon was pathetic! But the worst thing in this restaurant was by far the service or should I say lack of it. I understand that there was a lot of people in this place ans so the waiters had a busy evening but you still should be rude to customers or keep them waiting too long.
