during a recent stay in hamburg we had dinner in cafe del sol. it is a really nice restaurant and service is great. the burgers are excellent.

A good place for having some beers with friends. Or a more relaxed dinner between colleagues. The food is quite acceptable as well. A little bit noisy, but it is to expected from this kind of place.

The brunch buffet on the weekend is very good for the price. The offers differs from day to day so it does not get borring. Unfortunately it is not very central and kind of unromantic when you sit outside, because of the street next to...it.

Tolle Buffet-Auswahl, nette und aufmerksames Service-Personal und schönes Ambiente. Getränkepreise recht happig, sorgen dafür, dass bei längerem Aufenthalt mit viel Verzehr das nette Angebot dann im Verhältnis zu all-inclusive-Angeboten (Kaffee und O-Saft) dich recht teuer wird. with three friends. the environment is very nice and the staff very friendly. eating was ok, but served away too expensive for the amount. a las vegas burger was served on a wooden plate. the burger itself was very thin with a little...bit rucola and a piece tomaten and a little dressing. all for eur who had to be ordered separately for eur and were blown on the same plate! the carvings of my friends were very small and thin, in any case not asking the money. to cut it short: their provisions seemed to be so relieved on that day that twice the people had to be served with the same amount of food.

Im Osten von Hamburg gibt es nicht viel spannendes an Gastronomie. Und manchmal bin ich so unschlüssig: es ist nachmittags, will ich jetzt Eis oder Kuchen oder doch etwas Herzhaftes? Drinnen oder Draussen sitzen? Kein Problem im Cafe del Sol. Es gibt einen geräumigen Innenraum und eine wunderbare Holzveranda. Diese ist überdacht, so kann auch etwas Nieselregen nicht stören. Auf der Karte findet sich alles mögliche: Burger, Salat, Frühstück, am Wochenende riesige Brunchbuffets. Mein Favorit zur Zeit: Schoko-Himmel! Ich brauche mich nicht entscheiden, ob Kuchen oder Eis, hier gibt es ein Stück Schokokuchen mit einer Kugel Eis und Sahne zusammen auf dem Teller, Balsam für die Seele...

Nothing really wrong with this venue! We ate dinner there two nights ago. Having only eaten there for their Sunday warm and cold brunch before, was curious what kind of evening menu they had. Not a great number of choices, but German varied. Had a...burger with salad (on the burger) and French fries. Enjoyed. Partner had German currywurst with fries. Looked quite good; it was he said. Would definitely reserve for the Sunday brunch buffet. But seems reservations are taken for evening dinner as well. Outdoor dining is lovely and comfortable. Service efficient.
