Cafe Ginger - Carta

Our school orders lunch every Friday for a treat. Never disappointed and always get what I ask for. The lunch is large enough and fills me up. Fresh products and would definitely recommend to anyone.

Food excellent,staff very friendly and great value for money. Will defo be back. Stopped by to pick up breakfast after walking the dog. Service was great and will make it a regular thing. Chicken salad sandwich was huge, had to save half for lunch £2.75. Would highly recommend.

Me and my partner came to the establishment a few days ago to grab a bite to eat. We didn't know that our waiter would be the famous football reserve for Ayr United Finn Ecrepont! This restaurant offers good quality food, with large portions of sandwiches and consistently tasty soups and desserts. They are one of the few places that have reasonable prices compared to supermarkets and other restaurants, especially considering the current inflation and price hikes. Thank you CF for providing a great dining experience.

The door staff were completely disinterested in their job, the table and chairs were dirty, and the menu even stuck to our hands. When we asked a girl to clean our table, she only gave it a half-hearted wipe and then just dropped the cloth on the floor. The staff showed no interest in us during our visit, and it's a shame that tourists have to experience this. As a local from Ayr, I was very disappointed. The restaurant needs a thorough cleaning and improvement in staff attitude.

Been to Cafe Ginger a few times during our stay in Ayr. We had sandwiches and cake to take out. What a great find! The sandwiches are just amazing. Super fresh bread cut into seriously thick slices with tons of filling. I had granary bread with brie, tomato and herby mayonnaise. My partner had white bread with mexican chilli tuna and salad. We both had lovely raspberry sponge cakes. All this came to just over £10. It Is really good value as the sandwiches are HUGE and very filling. Ver carta

Second chance for this cafe......but will be its last. No acknowledgement on entering despite staff standing chatting, dirty table covered in crumbs, greasy menu and upon asking for the table to be wiped when asked for our order, the waitress did so grudgingly and in a clear display of inconvenience at being asked, swept all the debris onto the floor. At this point we left!! I have no doubt that this is a really good every day cafe, but with customer service like this, I wont be giving it another chance to find out!!

We visited this establishment very early in the morning upon our return from holidaying abroad . We were all very tired and Ed the proprietor could not have been more charming or helpful . The cooked breakfast was the best I have ever tasted , top quality fare and cooked to perfection . The cafe itself is beautiful and immaculate and our young son loved his breakfast . There is a delicatessen conjoined to the cafe , which is also owned by Ed . We shall certainly return to this gem of a cafe and I highly recommend a visit .

Visiting Ayr I've been exercising most mornings with long walks seaside around the City. I average about an hour half per day like to reward myself with a hot drink somewhere when I'm done. Sad to say I haven't found anywhere in the week Ive been here... until this morning. Cafe Ginger opens at 6.30am, it serves light snacks to a full breakfast and portions are generous. I ordered soup with granary bread butter. Thrilled to get a big bowl of piping hot soup with two slices of bread that looked like doorstops... and for less tha £3! Bravo! No wonder it's a favourite with tradesmen on their way to work. It's a favourite of mine now too I will tell everyone I can in the few days I'm still in Ay... Ver carta
