bad cocktails combined with under average eating at a price they could eat twice in another restaurant. the remaining signs will not make it better.

the cafe madrid is a very beautiful restaurator with Spanish cuisine. they offer a very different kind of Spanish food and wine. the busy are very friendly and helpful.

We love German food, but we ate here twice during our stay in Leipzig because we liked the tapas. The calamares were excellent, and there was a good selection of Spanish wine.

We had a nice meal, tasty tapas, good service and friendly atmosphere. Is this a tourist place? Sure but... so what? Our kids and dog enjoyed very much Suggestion: Include some Pacharan in the digestives menü ;

Excellent tapas and drinks! A good variety considering we are in Germany. The food quality was great and dessert churros was awesome! We reserved online and it worked great! Strongly recommend if u r stuck in Germany and can’t travel to Spain for the...real thing.

even if we booked in advance, there was no table ready for us when we arrived. they improvised a table for us from the outside tents on a rainy day – the only without tents. it has not made any sense because it was pm and the restaurant were almost empty. we went before the start because we didn't feel comfortable with the attitude of the waiter.

we didn't cost our meal. we had the mixed grill (meat) and the mixed fish plate. the food came very fast, within five minutes after the order. that means that it cannot be freshly prepared. that could be said: the vegetables were not warm enough. even worse....The fish was boiled (the salmon at some places almost raw). for us no more caffe madrid.

Have not been back to Café Madrid for some years now, but we finally were able to go there on our last trip to Leipzig. I always enjoy the food. We had the big plate with tapas variations (enough food for us as a party...of and dessert and food was excellent. A great place to eat while you are in Leipzig, right in the city center area. But usually very busy so reservation is probably recommended.

The photos don’t do it justice... The interior looks much better than the photos. Having said that, well, my overall experience was less than excellent. Maybe I just ordered the wrong things... but the Gazpacho was excellent. Nothing recent to compare it to, and this...was a bit creamier than I expected, but the flavors were there with just the right amount of spice. Well done. I also went with the Andalucia mixed platter. Forgetting that it was really enough for at least overall everything was wayyyyy too salty. And I matched it all with a red Rioja.
