"It's very rare I find myself in such goosepimpled state over a simple waffle and brownie combination; rarer still that I find myself this motivated to pen a review on TripAdvisor, but this my friends, is just such an auspicious occasion. I ask you to join me on a veritable Paris Contiki tour of the taste buds as we deconstruct the simple beauty that once danced through my senses.In front of me sat a simple plate, not unlike you would find in any other cafe in Paris: simple yet elegant as if to scoff in juxtaposed pride at the nourishment that sat upon it. A sliver of that eternal staple, a wholemeal victory, within which a concoction of more luxurious ingredients did battle for your tasting pleasure. The gladiators of my choosing where the alleged first on the field, Egg, the cultured and feisty, Cheese, and fresh from a vicious encounter with spinning blades, the always succulent, avocado.These three gallant warriors clashed together inside my mouth with such perfect equilibrium it would be unfair to declare a winner. Instead, the trio now finds themselves forever immortalised in my mind and the trophy room that is my lower intestine.As I caught my breath, unable to fully contemplate the marvel I had just witnessed, a lone soldier remained on the skirts of the culinary battlefield. How had I not seen this resplendent combatant, savagely beautiful with lines that spoke of French style and sophistication? It was a brownie, of the hallowed vegan variety, it started to dance like a sugar plum fairy with my tastebuds as if to one up the incredible waffles I had just experienced. It's hard to recall through all of the emotions I had just endured. A simple glass now beckoned towards my lips. I succumbed, allowing the genuine ginger lemonade elixir to work its magic within me. The glass armour soon emptied of its fluid, it stood alone, a shining reminder of what once was. I was satisfied. The seismic power of this combination now coursed through my body, permeating my very thoughts and desires. I had focus, energy and clarity of thought. I knew what was to be done. I would pen this review, and then conquer every tourist corner of this great city with my new reserves of sustenance.Vive la Paris!"

The Place is quite spacious and the tables are bigger than in regular bistros. Good to meet, eat and work also with several people.

I've been several times to Café Mareva and I will keep going. On top of the cosy atmosphere, everything in the menu is amazing. Coffee is really good as the freshly made juices. On top of all the above, the manager/waiter is really nice (and speak several languages). Ver carta

I stopped here twice during my stay in Paris. Everything was soooooo good!! The baked goods tasted amazing and the kale smoothie bowl was such a good reset after too much cheese But right now i just want the guacamole waffle, seriously the best waffle i've had in ages! And a big thank you to Mareva for being so welcoming and friendly!!

Loved the BLT waffle and the sweets are mindblowing... best chocolate cookie I EVER had and the brownie is also of a rare and incredible intensity... I'm a chocolate passionate and the desserts didin't disapointed me, including the very light and fresh tarte citron... can't believe they are gluten free, not that I'm intolerant to gluten, but they test better than any other place I know...

The coffee here is sensational, and as I am all about lactose free, it's also healthy. The space is very comfortable as unlike other places in Paris there's lots of space and you don't get caught up in your neighbor's conversations. The service was friendly and Mareva is not only charming, but speaks multiple languages. I didn't eat here, but my friends did and they loved the food as well - definitely recommend. Ver carta

I stayed in Paris for one week and came back to this "Cafe Place" three times because it tasted sooo good. The Food is all lactose and gluten-free (what you cannot taste!). I had almoust all the deserts, drank cafe, tried the cold iced tea and had a salty waffle for lunch. The service was very friendly and we almoust didnt have to wait for the food at all.The price for such a nice location close to the center of Paris was very good and the desserts and the Cafe one of the memories I take back from Paris to Germany:-) I will be back!!!

I love this new place just a few steps away from Republique. They serve excellent coffee made from beans coming straight out of Paris' best roastery - Belleville Brûlerie. I never had a BLT waffle shaped of little hearts before and i can say it was pretty good + i love fresh juices, it was very nice! All the pastries i tried so far were really yummy.Best thing: the whole menue is gluten and dairy free!!! Most of the times i was served by Mareva the owner herself who is super nice and speaks at least 5 different languages. I definitely recommend and will be back soon!
