Why does this cafe not display their FSA ratings?? something wrong?? I thought food outlets needed to display their FSA ratings

This has been closed for about a year, doing a refurb. but taking ages to do this, not sure what it will be when eventually finished

This has obviously had a bit of a revamp but I am still not keen on the place, tried it again and the coffee was bitter and not very hot Ver carta

Totally fresh produce, avocado on toast with seeds and a delicious poached egg. The chef has great skills. People should support this independent cafe vs. the boring overpriced highstreet chains!!

We love going to Cafe On The Lane. Whether that's for breakfast (Summer Solstice and Backstage Pass are favourites), just for a coffee and a chat, or for a bit of cake. Run by lovely people, and amazing value. Go!

This is just the best place for breakfast in the area! It’s not cheap but well worth it. I had a the Headliner breakfast which only comes with one egg and sausage so a little stingy. I added extra bubble, egg, and black pudding. Add in a coffee and you don’t get much change from £15. But it was amazing and so well worth the trip! Ver carta

Opted for the summer solstice with bacon. The bacon is top notch as is the bubble. Clean taste and friendly atmosphere. Outside and inside seating available although in winter when it is too cold to sit outside it may be a bit of a challenge to get a seat inside. Two breakfasts and coffee came to £20 which may sound a little dear but definitely worth paying for the quality offered.

We also regularly take away the food for lunch and evening meals. Stews, chickpea curries , the most delicious toasted sandwiches in the area!! This cafe is well worth a visit for freshly cooked produce. Myself and a friend received a warm welcome from our server. We sat inside although there is seating on an outside terrace. The food is well presented and using good produce cooked by a hard working chef. We had jacket potatoes served with chicken, bacon and avocado mayonnaise very tasty. You can have a beer or glass of wine and vegan dishes are available, along with homemade cakes and good coffee. Children are welcome. Ver carta
