"I have to say that I am deeply disappointed. We waited a long time and queued up patiently for staff to at least speak to us, we would have understood if someone explained that they were busy, but it didn't look like it was packed hence why giving atmosphere 3/5). The two staff that were talking behind there counter looked across at us and one of them, who I am assuming was a supervisor or manager, lifted her hand up and indicated that she would be one minute she put up 1 finger). We continued to wait for another 10 minutes and people started to queue up behind us. Still no one arrived and we decided to go. This is unfortunate as I have been to other Cafe Rouges and they have been alot busier and was treated well. I have just come back from USA and I have to say that the customer is treated very well, they have a greeter and then other staff would wait on the customers. Maybe it is time for Cafe Rouge to adopt this way of dealing with it's customers and if they do, they need to do this much, much better. I will attempt again next time I come to Bluewater and will update this review, as I believe in giving a business another chance. Let's hope they take their potential customers seriously."

Amazing experience, we have been served by a lovely young man. I don't know his name. He has blonde and curly hair. He is such a lovely guy, friendly and helpful. Food was 10/10 happy to return.

It was all right, but nothing special. My chicken burger was ok but the fries were a little under cooked and could have been hotter. And my feet and legs were cold for some reason. But the staff were charming.

Food was good, we had a three course meal. It was reasonably priced and a lovely meal out. Staff was good and made sure we were happy although got close to our personal space a bit much. Overall it was a good experience.

Just had breakfast here, and I must say it was lovely. I had eggs benadict, and my wife had the full English both were well cooked and very tasty. Service was excellent even when my wife dropped her coffee, after mopping it up, we were offered another. The lovely polish waitress is a credit to Cage Rouge very attentive and helpful. Thank you for a very pleasant breakfast. Ver carta

This cafe is usually outstanding in any part of London, but I was quite surprised this time because the service was not up to par. I'm not sure if the staff had experienced any conflicts among themselves, but they seemed to lack attention to detail when it came to customer service. It’s unfortunate because this venue is located in a well-known shopping center, and this kind of service really detracts from the overall experience!

I honestly can't say enough good things about this place. For a chain restaurant it doesn't feel that way. The staff are all polite, friendly and welcoming. The service is great and as someone who has spent time all over France this does have an air of parisian café. The food is delicious and well prepared with just the right amount of time before it arrives to know it is not just heated in a microwave. Not only that but the food is good quality and a perfect portion size. Pricing is fair especially for what you get and the coffee is great too.

In the meantime, we ordered another round of drinks, only to realize that our drink order had been left at the bar and nobody was available to bring them to us. We eventually decided to get the drinks ourselves since there seemed to be a lack of staff to serve us. Overall, this was a disappointing experience. There was no management in sight, and it appeared that something was amiss with the restaurant staff, as we noticed they were turning away new customers due to a kitchen issue. If they continue to operate in this manner, I can't see them succeeding. Very poor service. Ver carta

We were seated but waited 10 minutes without menus. When we finally asked the barmaid for them, she handed us some kids' drawings but forgot to include crayons, so we had to request those as well. It took 25 minutes for our drinks to arrive! I completely understand that they might be understaffed, but this was the third time we faced long waits and poor service here. I saw people waiting at the door for at least 20 minutes, and I even noticed a couple who had been seated go grab their own menus. I usually enjoy the breakfasts, which is why we keep coming back, but this experience might make it our last visit.

Very dissatisfied with the standard of their so called classic afternoon tea. It's the worst thing I've ever tasted. Presentation and hygiene was poor. The teacup were dirty, which had to be replaced twice. The sandwiches hardly had any fillings in them. Comparing to what was advertised on their website it definitely was not what was presented to us. This whole saga just spoilt the whole mothers day experience. Don't waste your money on the afternoon tea. The bread was old and stale. Which was just cut up baguettes with leafs in them. Upon poor and slow service the end result of the food was just a waste of time.

"I have just got back from an unfortunately VERY disappointing meal here today. I was recommended this place by a friend who said the food was great, and as it is so local to me we thought we would try. However, we went in and first off the only menu was a Sunday one which just offered various meats with standard roast accompaniments, no matter o chose a steak as it said it came with chips and onion rings. My first mistake. Secondly we ordered some bread and olive oil and balsamic dip. And a lamb shank. It took 53 minutes for the kitchen to send out our order and we didn’t even get the bread and olive oil to pick on. We had to ask a very rushed looking waitress how long table 59 would be, and could we at least have our bread and dip. She went in and came out another 5 minutes later with two plates one with bread and oil and another with some kind of pate on it. I said straight away we hadn’t ordered it so she took it away and then reappeared 5 minutes later carrying the same plate and saying that we had in fact paid for it so it was ours. No refund or apology was offered so I graciously said ok, we will try it. It was AWFUL, really warm pate and the bread was dry. Awful. Now onto the mains; My steak turned up with peas which I did not order. It was also bland and unseasoned and was brought dry with no sauce options or anything. I ate a few mouthfuls and ate 5 chips and I honestly couldn’t eat anymore as it was just tasteless and chewy. The lamb shank was ok, the gravy with it had no flavour at all and there was no salt or pepper offered or on the table at all ‍. We waited another 35 mins and no one came over to check or ask us if everything was ok. In the end. We got so fed up we left. I am incredibly disappointed, I never moan or put up reviews but I actually feel seriously unhappy that a meal for two cost me £65 in a mediocre setting and was flavourless. That combined with being charged for a starter neither of us would ever order in a million years and the fact we had to clear our own table and dust ash off of it gave me an experience I’m massively unhappy about. For a restaurant with apparent 4 stars online it was mediocre at best. And that is only because the lamb shank and a few mushrooms on my plate were edible and I was hungry! I really would like to hear back from someone, and for you to morally do the right thing and have my ‘unordered’ starter refunded back to me at some point. I have no issue in returning in the future however I would like some assurance that the whole experience will be far better and that all the issues here are addressed to give me an incentive to come back again."
