Do you need time out? Do you need very friendly people caring for you and great food? This is the right place! I really enjoyed every visit!

To be honest it wasn't the most tasty breakfast I've ever had it was just meh. And at £15 for a full English and a coffee I expected considerably more.

We decided to pop in here today for some lunch. There were only 2 other tables in, so this should have rang alarm bells straight away. We walked in the door and just got looked at. We had to start the conversation, we Asked if a table was available for 2 adults and 1 child, and we just got a table pointed at us. We sat down and looked at the menus. Whilst we were sat we weren’t introduced to by waiting staff, we had to get their attention. I asked if there was a kids menu to which the reply we got was ‘no , what can I get you to drink’. There wasn’t an offer of ‘oh we can adapt any meal size to suit’. Just a straight forward no. They saw we had a child with us, surely you’d mention you don’t... Ver carta

Absolutely shocking from this once fantastic restaurant. Not sure what has happened, but Cafe Zoot has certainly gone downhill. Booked for a table of 9 on a Monday evening, including 2 children. Waitress couldn’t understand our order.. what’s lager shandy and a spritzer? No children’s menu, or half portions for children available. Only option is full size meal with the option of a takeaway box if they don’t finish their meal. The waitress asked the chef, and this was our only option. After much deliberation (2 mins to check Gino’s could fit us in at short notice) we paid for our drinks and left. I don't know if it's the chef's fault, or the management deciding portion sizes, but the miniscule size of the vegan lasagne my partner was served last night was a disgrace, it was beyond belief. We are returning customers from a couple of years ago, and we really enjoyed it last time (mushroom risotto, was fantastic, shame to take it from the menu). When the waitress asked us if everything was okay (unfortunately at the end of the meal) I said yes thank you apart from the lasagne being VERY small. I couldn't actually enjoy my own food (which was actually good) because of what I could see in front of me on her plate. I don't know how a restaurant, or chef, would think it's acceptable to serv...

Been here lots before always ok . However today , 11.30 am was empty. Asked for scrambled eggs on toast , 1 other had the same and 1 the American breakfast . Both eggs came with salmon , not ordered! Waitress seemed very put out that we didn't want it, hate anything fish , took them both back , obviously just took off salmon and brought them back . I said no sorry, if this tastes fishy , I can't eat it , you'll need to redo the eggs please waitress , big sigh, wasn't my fault she got the order wrong , I did apologise ! Brought them back, they were hot so thought maybe had been redone ,but upon eating , were drowned in pepper and green herbs , it was extremely obvious to me that they had not... Ver carta
