"I am really surprised to see so many negative reviews about this lovely bar. I think people from abroad may be confusing Italian bars (something between coffee shop and pub) and Italian restaurants. Bars are not supposed to have a big choice for food. It would be the same of complaining Starbucks has little choice for sandwich. I am local and I know quite a few bars in town and this was definitely the best I went to. We had an incredible spritz aperol (6 euros each) which is indeed quite expensive compared to other places but there was amazing complementary food. We loved the pizza, the chips, the warm piadina slices served with our drinks. Staff were really nice and friendly. Also it is not the UK or the US, Italian people speak Italian. It is ridiculous seeing so many English speaking people giving bad reviews because of the staff poor English. I have never found a coffee shop where people speak well Italian when I was in the US and in the Uk. Do not mix rudeness and poor English. Anyway very good place to go."

We went in this café because the old building looked lovely and it was in a nice area. We ordered a club sandwich to share and large and small beer, the bill was about 23 euros. The sandwich was ok but the staff were so unfriendly and rude, they made us feel that we shouldn't even be there. Verona is a beautiful place but I would not recommend this place.

Floor and toilet were filthy and the 3 girls working there seem not to really care (it wasn’t busy at all, there were only 3 customers). Poor customer service, felt almost uncomfortable while ordering just two espressos, which tasted pretty awful, kind of burnt. I’m normally not fussy but this time I was disappointed. The location is the only positive thing overall.
