Caffe Vergnano 1882

to walk around the south bank, I realized with great disappointment that the whole was conquered by restaurants and cafes – wagamama, cafe nero, las iguanas. nothing that would inspire a unique, non-mainstream experience. with this I decided to enter a chain that I had not surpassed before.

one of my favorite places on the lively, tourist south bank. it is a little dark inside, but welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. they offer breakfast, lunch and dinner and aperitif, but I think in the rule for their incredible Italian hot chocolate that makes it in italia and for dying: dark, rich, creamy and full of taste.

The interiors of this place are basic white, simple and soothing. The food is also very simple and quite average. I went for sandwiches, salads and hot chocolate. Except for hot chocolate, which was made from melted chocolate and tasted divine other things were just okay. You wont be missing out on something if you have not visited this place.

This place has to be visited once in order to understand completely what it has on offer. The stark white interiors done up so perfectly only enhance the quality of time one has here. The food is simply lovely. The place serves borderline perfect sandwiches priced reasonably well. What one should definitely try are its salads. The quantity is a lot, so beware before you order!

We just moved from St. James' Park to Southbank. And we wanted to start trying out restaurants right away. LPQ was full so we saw the menu and it looked so tempting. We had the Primavera pizza, a diet coke and a beer for pounds so clearly the pounds for two people is way off, considering we only had the main course, since we were in a hurry More Southbank restaurants soon! Can't wait.

we are in london for days after we have finished our london eye visit, we have sunk in caffe vergnano. two adult and young. we ordered the pizza for the children the pears and walnut salad, meeres pasta and zucchini suppe, I must say it was amazing eating great service our waiter was a very sweet and nice to the children. highly recommended for a good meal. I forgot to mention her hot chocolate wow creamy chocolate.

One of the best Italian coffee places in London. They have plenty of seats and big selection of coffee. My favourite is the espresso with chocolate which will impress even the non espresso drinker! The chocolate liquid that they use is very thick and not too sweet so I just really love it. Of course it's a bit naughtier than a normal espresso as they also put a bit of cream on top but why not be naughty every now and then

I only rarely write reviews when the restaurant is extremely good or extremely bad. this is sorry that your service is terrible and knowing the waiter is below zero, the restaurant looks at a favorable situation. but everything went wrong when I hired the order, I told the waiter that I would come to lunch, but he gave me the drinks menu. So I have to ask for the menu again! at least I ordered a child meal (starting the hot chocolate) for my daughter and a pasta for me drinks came but the hot chocolate is too hot for children (bear understood, this drink is in the children's menu) that came to eat, but only the pasta and the ice. is? isn't it...read more

Poor service and atmosphere, rude manager. I can't believe that Time Out gave this place a good review. The owner must have known they were coming. We booked dinner and drinks there and the service was slow at best on a slow Monday night and I know my coffee very well and it wasn't great. The restaurant is down the back on a lower level so there are no views there despite being next to South Bank and the river. One group next to us of about people was kicked out basically for not ordering enough food quickly enough when the place was empty (maybe people in the whole restaurant area).
