Was here for the first time, it got probables and the tapas were wonderful both the food and the service, highly recommended. We felt very welcome and not misplaced, very nice and open staff who immediately consider their wishes.

I popped into this tapas quite by accident and was very surprised at the quality of service..amazing dishes and wide menu for choices. It is not really small plates as the tapas name indicate but apparent the chef is top notch get. I had the...avocado/artichoke salad, beef steak and potatoes fritte. Restaurant Cala d'Or is a nice place to go out with colleagues, friends or just the two of you. The restaurant is big enough for smaller groups but has some quite corners as well. It offers a great variety of cold and hot tapas and...Spanish specialty dishes; they all taste very good and authentic. The red and white house wines are excellent. The service is accurate and friendly. If you go there once, you will be coming back.

Visited this Spanish place around the corner from our hotel, for some supper. We opted to order some tapas to share, an assortment of hold and cold dishes, seven in all, served with some nice crusty bread. All were good! The calamari was perfect, with...a lovely light and crisp batter. The cold meat selection was tasty, and the other dishes were all up to standard. Tapas when done well is a beautiful thing! My only minor gripe would be that the garlic with the grilled prawns was a little burnt, so the oil had a slight burnt garlic flavour. But nothing too overpowering. All in all, a very pleasant supper!

You can choose between tapas and conventional main courses. We chose tapas. Every plate was perfect. It is unfair to select one but the beef with blue cheese and the (perfectly cooked) lamb with (non-blue) cheese were like angels dancing on my tongue. But everything...else was fantastic also including the wine recommended by the friendly front of house staff. The decor and the atmosphere are so informal they offer no clue as to the quality of the food to come. Apparently it gets impossibly busy at weekends but on a mid week evening we had no problem wandering in and joining the easy going murmur of happy conversation. Highly recommended. Ver carta
