really great eating and beautiful place to sit and eat. very affordable and they can add their own taste. would go to another trip just to eat here! (let a room for desserts)

scottland from Texas to search for fishing and chips. in caledonian stopped and had a wonderful experience. beautiful restaurant and bar with good food. service was excellent. I had the little fish and chips while my mother had the haggis and didties with nieren. will come back when I visit again.

We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. We ordered burgers, and the kids enjoyed their meals, finding them even tastier than McDonald's! The atmosphere is enhanced by a large pool table, adding to the fun. The building and location are also lovely, and the staff was wonderful. Overall, we had a great time! Ver carta

As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and shown to our table. We felt welcomed immediately and enjoyed our experience. Being from out of town, a friendly face is always appreciated. Our waitress took some time and we enjoyed her time talking about growing up in the area!! Try the Hagis Bites with tarter, you won't be disappointed!!!!

I traveled from Texas to Scotland in search of fish and chips and stopped by the Caledonian. I had a wonderful experience. The restaurant and bar are beautiful, and the food was excellent. The service was also top-notch. I ordered the small fish and chips, while my mother had haggis with neeps and tatties. I will definitely return the next time I'm in the area.

typical pub eating starters were good, black pudding bits were pretty heavy, needed less black pudding and more whisky source. the nachos were cold, obviously a man was left under a heat lamp. the main thing, truthahnkuchen was beautiful, although could not taste the cranberry. the fish, I doubt, was hand-creamed and was very glowing. The main thing I remember about this pub is the sticky floor! I don’t know what they clean it with, but everyone was suffering and it was a good five minutes of walking once I’d left before I felt my shoes no longer sticking to the pavement! Other than that, it’s a nice place the staff are friendly and there’s a good range of well priced drinks available. Large screens were showing sport during my visit and there’s a good mix of seating for different group sizes. A pretty nice pub in the centre.

I was warmly welcomed by a staff member named Brand, who greeted me with a "Good evening" and asked about my day. My meal was served by Chloe, who delivered the delicious food to my table shortly after I ordered. A few minutes later, Chloe returned to check if everything was satisfactory with my meal. When I expressed that everything was perfect, she encouraged me to let her know if I needed anything else. The service was amazing, and I will definitely be returning. I give it a 10/10 for service!

I visited the Caledonian today 19/10/2021 for some food and decided on Tuesdays burger and drink deal. The quad chicken burger with cheese, haggis and whisky sauce was big enough for two people and I had diet coke as my choice for drink. I was warmly welcomed by Mark with good evening and asked how my day had been,I was served at the tills by Chloe and my food was delivered to my table shortly after by Chloe. A few minutes later Chloe came back to check and make sure everything was okay with my meal, when I told her everything was perfect she told me to let her know if I needed anything which was lovely. Amazing service, will definitely be returning. 10/10 on service Ver carta
