"We decided spontaneously last night to order something to eat. Although the kitchen has just been cleaned, the team made it possible and prepared our order for 4 people. Super service and mega friendly. To eat it is to say: delicious! German cuisine without finished sauces. We had oxenbäckchen (very soft and tasteful) with roast and leaf spinach, cheese spet with salad dressing as well as muzzles with melted onions and salad. We were all completely satisfied and definitely come back. Simply great last night we spontaneously decided to order something to eat. Although the kitchen was in the process of being cleaned, the team made it possible and prepared our order for 4 people. Great service and super friendly. The food is to say: delicious! "We did it! After at least 10 attacks, for my wife's birthday, we managed to get one of the coveted places. Our expectations were high as the best Rumsteak temple was recommended everywhere. The parking search was a bit adventurous(10 minutes should be planned) but then it was done. We were very warmly welcomed and here you can see that professionals are at work. In order to take up the topic immediately, we are often on the go in the gastro world but such a warm, competent service we have rarely experienced. Bravo! The menu is also very balanced. Not overloaded, perfectly seasonal and from wild, goose, meat, meat to vegetarian dishes, there is something for every taste. It should be noted that all dishes are also offered as a small portion and are provided with a wine recommendation. But the wine card is also excellently selected. As an appetizer, the field salad was recommended with croutons and bacon cubes and was provided with an excellently smacked raspberry dressing. That I didn't get around the Rumsteak was clear, although the Cordon Bleu was also very tempting. My wife enjoyed the Wolfsbarsch with band noodles and saffron sauce and both we were very happy. The Rumsteak perfectly medium rare and the fish juicy and perfectly fried on the skin side. We can only follow all the excellent reviews.For reasons of time, we could not let the evening end with dessert and espresso, but next time. If I should mention something at all, then the recommendation that there are also very good regional beef qualities, as Argentina is quite far. "Ich kenne das Restaurant seit der Eröffnung ca. 1990. Wir waren dort mehrmals essen, und konnten die "Kartoffel" wärmstens weiterempfehlen. Es gab damals sehr leckere kleine, frisch zubereitete Gerichte, und hervorragende Steaks. Am heutigen Abend 03.06.2017 waren meine Frau und ich, nach bestimmt 15 Jahren Abwesenheit, wieder einmal in der Kartoffel zum Abend essen.Das Malör begann schon mit dem Glas Mineralwasser. Das Glas hatte, obwohl eigentlich sauber, einen muffigen Eigengeruch.Meine Frau hatte die überbackenen Champignons mit Hackfleisch Füllung bestellt.Leider muss der Eigentümer des Lokales, die Bewertungen seiner Gäste auf Tripadvisor nicht gelesen haben. Das Gericht entsprach exakt der schlechten Bewertung vom 04. September 2016 zu 100%. Verkochte (wahrscheinlich aufgewärmte) und in einer undefinierbaren Sauce, schwimmende gefüllte Champignons, mit mehreren ebenfalls in die Sauce getunkte Weißbrotscheiben.Ich hatte das Rumpsteak 180g, auf dem heißen Stein, mit einer (als Beilage), separat angerichteten Kartoffel mit Sauerrahm bestellt.Das Steak war in Ordnung, obwohl es mich von der Konsistenz (komplett ohne fett) und Geschmack, eher an ein Hüftsteak erinnert hat. Der heiße Stein war sehr heiß, und wurde direkt vor mich gestellt. Auf dem Holzbrett des Steines, wurden in drei Schälchen drei unterschiedliche, mehr oder weniger undefinierbare, Saucen (laut Speisekarte Schlemmersaucen) gereicht. Die Kartoffel mit Sauerrahm, wurde auf einem kleinen Teller, als Beilage serviert. Die Kartoffel war vom Geschmack in Ordnung. Jedoch wurde sie vom sogenannten Sauerrahm total überschwemmt, und wäre beinahe über den Tellerrand geflossen. Auch war es keine leichte Sauerrahmsauce, sonder eine eher scharf gewürzte undefinierbare schwere Sauce mit wohl viel zu viel Creme Fraiche.Insgesamt waren wir total enttäuscht, und werden das Restaurant nicht mehr betreten."
