"In general Spontan we took care of Wednesday and decided to go to Cologne on Friday for a short time and to spend a relaxing dinner there in a place that is not yet visited for us. The list of possible restaurants was not so short. So grabbed the phone and asked for appointments. Many inns have a shift since “Corona”; Finally, the numbers of seats are strongly decimated by the “rules”. But we didn't want to slip into the first shift from 18 to 20 o'clock, because the speed seems too high. But almost all houses were already occupied at 8:00. This was different from “Capricorn i Aries”: there were still free tables and no time restrictions. On the Internet there are mostly positive reports to the local. It also has the “Bib Gourmand” and “Gusto” 5/10 points. Ambiente At Alteburger Straße there is a restaurant at the restaurant. Everybody has an outside area. But we don't like to sit so close to a street. But the Capricorn i Aries is not so bad; because the places are placed close to the house wall; but there were rain showers on the day and we wanted to go inside. The surprise menu was then turned to the fish menu in the main course, because there was cod. It was a relatively large piece of fillet without skin. The cod had been gently cooked and a little flattened up. The lamellae were juicy, lightly glassy and buttery. Spices had been used very little and the aroma of the meat came gently to the tongue. As vegetables there was a small bundle of relatively raw, if necessary. also slightly fermented spring leach – the outer shell had probably been somewhat inflated. The thin rods were looped around and knotted by a cut pitch thread. The vegetables were not good to cut with the fish knife. The taste was certainly quite natural for us and in the mouth had to be well tasted. We would have wished for something more. In addition, four small rolls of vegetables were on the plate. We suspect paprika, tomato, olive or even rag. These packets were relatively soft and intense in taste. They could easily spread their flavors in their mouth – without chewing. A light brown sauce was still in play; it fits the puree – without creating a lot of own taste. The puree was probably prepared from potatoes, it was relatively compact. We suspect that little butter was in the game, because it showed no creaminess. But the vegetables taste was in the foreground. For dessert there was a glass bowl full of marinated strawberry pieces, raspberry sorbet and crème-fraîche ice cream. Each component was pleasant in the mouth: the strawberries were sweet and juicy, the sorbet brought light acid notes and the ice was wonderfully creamy and creamy. The dishes were simple and good. We sometimes lacked some sophistication. If we are in the southern city of Cologne and want to get a meal, then a return would certainly be on the plan.
