Food and service were great, but it was overpriced on house wine (11€ for 1/2lt of an ok Shiraz that you can easily buy for 4€/lt and water (4€ for 750ml of Ferrarelle!!! .

Splendido! Tutto pazzesco, dagli antipasti al dolce! Il miglior ristorante dell'isola! Piatti eccellenti, servizio cordiale e attento, atmosfera magica e un'ampia scelta di vini. Se vi riesce, non fatevi mancare a fine pasto il mandarinetto fatto in casa dal proprietario Massimo: buonissimo!!!

Dopo 5 giorni posso dire che questo è non solo il miglior ristorante di Santa Marina ma anche di tutta Salina. Materia prima eccezionale trattata dallo chef con grande maestria. Eravamo in tre e abbiamo mangiato la cipolla giarratana ripiena, il crudo di gamberi locali, il totano ripieno, il polpo rosticciato. Tutto ottimo e ben presentato. Lista di vini soddisfacente. A Salina non si può non visitare Casa Lo Schiavo! Massimo è un padrone di casa perfetto... presentissimo, garbato e mai invadente! La location si trova proprio sul corso principale di S. Marina di Salina e, vedendola, non si può non rimanere incantati sia all'esterno, ma soprattutto all'interno, dove l'accuratezza del dettaglio, la pulizia e la quantità di prodotti di eccellenza fanno da padrone! La cena è stata a dir poco perfetta! Graditissimo l'entree di benvenuto, la cucina realmente casalinga, ma con carattere e raffinatezza; ogni piatto ci ha fatto sentire i sapori della Sicilia, delle Eolie, ma con un quid in più! You must try this place! It’s a fabulous expertly run luxurious ‘Deli Restaurant with tables’ owned by boutique hotel next door I Cinque Balconi. Book a table, have a drink next door first then go eat from their choice of dishes cooked to order by expert chefs and staff who prepare and serve with a great deal of care. Wine selected for us was best we’ve had yet on island. Amuse bouches were generous. Casa Lo Schiavo has all the power of simplicity and genuine love and care for hospitality. It was the old village grocery, beautifully restored to a bistrot with lots of details and items from times passed.
