The service is wonderful and friendly here. It feels just like being at home - warm and welcoming. They even have a special menu for dogs so they are well taken care of too.

We didn't book because it was early on a wet Thursday evening but even though the dining area was packed we were made very welcome by the friendly staff. The food was fantastic and we will think about coming again to try something else from the wide menu. Ver carta

We frequently visit The Chapel and are never let down. Pam and Emma provide excellent service, the steak and ale pie with gravy is delicious, the portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. We also used our blue light card. We are eagerly anticipating our next visit.

I have visited this restaurant a few times recently as it is a nice, friendly pub near where my daughter lives. We had a family gathering booked in advance. I ordered the beef ale pie for £11.49, while others had the Katsu chicken for £10.49, the gammon steak for £10.79, and the hunters chicken for £10.29. All the dishes were decent sized portions and tasted delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful, and we also received a 20% discount for being blue light members.

Booked lunch on 2 occasions. 1st meal was fishcakes, which came with a poached egg and tiny bit of salad. No chips or potatoes. Tasted nice but very much overpriced at £13.49! We were still hungry so ordered a crumble dessert each, which came with a very small jug of custard (not enough). Disappointed! 2nd visit was for Sunday Roast, which was nice but, again, came with a small jug of gravy. When we asked for more we were told there was a charge of 39p for extra gravy. Never heard of anything so riddiculous. Especially when we were spending in excess of £40. Again disappointed and has put us off eating here again. Good way to lose business!
