"Been here a few times for ice cream coffee in the past and it’s always been great. We recently passed by and noticed the breakfast menu. Upon enquiring, we were told we could bring our dog inside, no problem (the friendly lady working on the till even offered some doggy biscuits) £9.50 for a full breakfast including coffee, it was a tasty meal and great value for money. Seemed to be quite a decent cafe menu as well, all at a sensible price. A lot of the local establishments seem to have gone ‘upmarket’ and charge accordingly it’s great to see there’s still room in the village for a friendly, old school cafe, offering good quality food at a reasonable price. Looking forward to returning again."

Exceptional food. Ordered cheeseburger and mozzarella panini to take out. Both were excellent and substantial. Highly recommended.

Really nice place, really nice staff, really nice food and ice cream. Given its location I was surprised how well priced it was, too!

Excellent breakfast. Full Welsh. Really good value and the best coffee on the island. Also a very tempting range of local ice cream to eat in or take away.

Best ice cream around. Hence it is very busy during the summer months. Coffees also worth having and the staff are great with children and particularly dogs. Our dogs love walking by daily!

This cracking little place was a stones throw for our holiday cottage so the kids had an ice cream daily with lots of great flavors We had a sit in breakfast and a takeaway baguette lunch Reasonably priced and very good Would highly recommend

A wonderful, friendly place with excellent quality ice cream. The lady who served us was utterly fantastic; she was so kind to my friend’s small child, getting down to her level to chat with her and ask her what flavour ice cream she’d like. It’s always a nice treat to go and get an ice cream, but Chaplins is always an especially uplifting experience.

Wide range of local and classic ice cream flavours. I tried the apple crumble flavour and it was delicious! Liked the fact that you could just order from a hatch in the wall if you didn’t want to sit in. This made it so much easier and quicker (I think I only had to wait in line for around a minute or so). It’s also right next to the beach which is very convenient.

What lovely young men with very nice polite smiles who served us .a lady also who was very kind she was cleaning up but let us in with our doggie to look closer at the yummy ice creams ....its always nice to be greeted with a smile and the lady was showing us all the new flavours which we tried and really enjoyed .thank you for your kindness . Black current and liquorice and clotted cream and raspberry....we could have stayed all day just eating all the flavours ...keep up the good work .x

"I've been to Dylans in Menai Bridge and always enjoyed it not this time. For the first half of our visit there was a stinging blue haze hanging in the air; the kitchen extractors clearly weren't functioning properly. Fortunately this cleared for the second hour we were there. Now to the service; after taking our drinks orders we waited nearly 15 minutes for them. Later, after staff had passed our empty glasses 20 times, we managed to order some second drinks by catching their attention. The food was the main problem; minuscule starters of crab and Welsh rarebit. My pizza came as a real surprise (as others have mentioned in previous reviews); gone is the thin crusted, well filled pizza of the past. The pizza is now about 20% smaller and my daughter mentioned that it looked like a child's portion. However, the main problem was the total lack of filling; there was a huge gap for at least an inch all round the pizza which was just fluffy dough. There were five tiny mussels on it and when I picked the mussel shells up they were so overcooked the shells turned to carbonised dust. I counted three tiny slices of red chilli. As others have mentioned, I realise the industry is having a hard time the price of the pizzas haven't gone up but the quantity and quality has plummeted and I would rather pay more to enjoy my meal. The pudding order came and was wrong. When the hot cross bun pudding came out it was still only on the wrong side of lukewarm. Don't get me started on the price of a pint of Aspalls £7.25, a price I would expect to pay in London. And before Lisa R replies that they would have replaced a dish, it would have been replaced with a similar disappointing dish....and no one bothered to ask us if everything was OK either during or after the meal anyway."
