Another trip to Glasgow another fantastic meal here: great food, pleasant ambiance, really good staff. Always impresses always confirms there’s no point in dining elsewhere in Glasgow if it’s an Indian meal your after.

Party of 9 for office lunch. Prior to arrival booking etc. and calls dealt with professionally and friendly. On arrival seated quickly and orders taken quickly without pressure. Food was exceptional and quantity was plentiful. Questions asked in relation to allergies were answered directly with confidence. Service was friendly and professional and not rushed. I would not hesitate to recommend here and will return. Thanks for having us.

I was in Glasgow for a week and really craved some Indian food. After reading the online reviews, I decided to give Charcoal a try. When I got there, I was by the door by an unsmiling employee. Totally unfriendly. I advised that I was alone without a reservation and was prepared to wait. He was dismissive and said “we’re fully booked” and turned around. I could tell that he was uninterested and would not even entertain me begging to be squeezed in. Anyway, I could not be bothered by then by an unfriendly and unsmiling character. I took a walk to The Dhabba around the corner and what a difference in welcome! Wide smiles and friendly chatter. I would give The Dhabba .

My wife and I made a return visit to Charcoals first time in 5 years after moving out of Glasgow a while back. I 'm pleased to report that although the location has changed, the food and service is still absolutely top notch. I regularly visited their earlier Renfield Street location prior to retirement, and was surprised and happy that I was recognised by owner Muhammad Sultan. After a brief catch up, it was down to the food and as it always was, it didn 't disappoint. Superb starters and perfect mains a lamb rogan josh for me and a chicken biryani for the wife completely hit the spot. And as so often happens at Charcoals, the occasional extra dish Just something for you to try, sir landed... Ver carta
