Charlie Brown's Diner

This restaurant is a charming, family-owned establishment with a friendly atmosphere. It's a great choice for a pre-theatre meal or a casual dinner out, and it has an American theme. In my opinion, they serve the best burgers around!

We stayed in Eastbourne for the night and the restaurant they we was going to go to was closed due to a bereavement. So we come by this by chance glad we did. The reason we went in was it looked fairly busy for a rainy night The steaks where great, great value. Real must try steaks

After reading the previous review criticizing the Chicken and Prawn dish, I decided to give it a try. I found it to be delicious and so did the three people I was with, who all ordered different dishes. While the restaurant may not be rated 5 stars, the prices are reasonable and we were all very satisfied with our meals.

We booked here for 40 of us to eat the night before our wedding and it was fantastic. The food was really good and reasonably priced and the service was excellent!! They couldn’t have been more welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. They even opened an hour earlier for us. We would definitely use again Thanks Anna and team for looking after us

We had such a great dining experience on our first night in Eastbourne that we decided to return for a second night! This restaurant is a hidden gem, offering delicious and filling meals perfect for fueling Beachy Head Marathon runners. The portions are generous and perfectly cooked, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be dining here again next time we are in town. And don't forget to try their tasty cocktails and juicy steaks!

I order prawn chicken it was basically boiled heated chicken so bland with a few frozen b tasteless prawns thrown on top and a garlic and mushroom sauce poured on top … my family member had steak and there was So much water on the plate !!!! . Safe to say all four of us hardly touched our food and when the plates were collected we wasn’t asked if all was ok seeing as our plates were still full …..when we complained the lady said the food was fine we payed the bill 80+ pounds but safe to say we will never return. Disgusting

We have been to Eastbourne a few times now and every time we go this is the one restaurant that we always return to. It's only a small place at the end of the high street that doesn't look that special from the outside but it really is a hidden gem. The staff are amazingly friendly and the service can't be faulted. The food itself is even better with several dishes you won't find anywhere else, including the signature stuffed steak. There's plenty of options for vegetarians too, which pleased my wife, and some really tasty desserts. The portion sizes are also huge, so I recommend going straight to a main with no starter. I know that we will be back here again in our favourite window table!

What a gem! My husband and kids (ages 9 and almost 3) and I were unsure where to eat, and didn't walk to walk far from our hotel we'd already had a very busy day! And so we chose Charlie Brown's Diner for dinner. And boy are we glad we did! We were a walk in and were thankful to get a table, although there was only one other group there at the time, around 6 pm. It did fill up but it wasn't overly noisy or anything. It was perfect from start to finish, with really quirky Americana decorations throughout, and an American style menu.
