Found the place. By accident. It was lunch time , which means before . If you don't know the shops close between noon and and most of the restaurants close at to reopen much later. we were looking for old, looking for a cheap, really French brasserie to lunch, somewhere without menu outside in English, where the clientele were all french and the personal language French, instead of in English, the moment when they saw reading hair! the place was busy, we had to wait a few minutes until a table is free. the waitress was friendly, efficient, patient with children who had to order the mut in French and had an excellent memory. the plate du jour was boudon noir (black pudding) with kartoffels and wobble sauce. ours chose it and we were rewarded with the most delicious food I had in a long time. the salads that were brought for the appetizers were perfection, beautifully dr...

We searched for ages, looking for a reasonably priced, genuinely french brasserie for lunch, somewhere with no menu outside in English, where the clientele were all French and the staff spoke French, rather than switching to English the instant they saw read hair! The place was busy, we had to wait a couple of minutes for a table to be free. The waitress was friendly, efficient, patient with children plucking up the courage to order in French and had an excellent memory. The plat du jour was Boudon Noir (black pudding) with mashed potatoes and onion sauce. 4 our of 5 of us chose it, and we were rewarded with the most delicious meal I have had in a long time.
