"Chez Jeannot was a very pleasant experience. The food was very good and the service was just as best you can get in France. The staff was very helpful and we got the feeling that they liked working there. There was a good buzz of people at the place consisting mostly of locals. Another good sign. The food was made of fresh ingridients they also sell at their next door shop. We had oysters for starters (very good) and then four kinds of mains. I had sole and my wife had squid. Both were really nice. The desserts were classic French and all were very nice as well.Cost for two people with a glass of bubbly and half a bottle of wine was ca. 130eur. Very good value for the food & service you get.Warmly recommended for sea food lovers."

Environment - good Staff - very nice Food - good selection of oysters. Main courses were very poor, very expensive prices for very cheap badly prepared produce. A total disappointment.

Marvellous experience! The bulots (sea snails) were so tasty and fresh. The mussels were also excellent! Simple menu but utterly fantastic. The gorgeous cafe gourmand with small little desserts was also decadent. WOW! Ver carta

I eat out in Toulouse regularly and rate this as one of my favourite restaurants. it is purely seafood and crustations, with a little shop to the side, selling great oysters. You can't beat the fruits de mer. Great atmosphere and a family-run feel to it.

This place is really good. Wonderful casual seafood diner. Had lunch outdoors. Shrimp was spectacular fresh and tasty. Nice portion. The daurade (bream) was great. Small portion tho. I am still hungry. The price is cheap for a seafood place. It is a true neighborhood hangout.

Restaurant is connected with a shop and all their meals are prepared from fresh and high quality products. The prices of course reflect it. During the weekends there are available also almost budget menus. Restaurant is quite popular and almost always full - so it's wise to make a reservation. Ver carta

Some of the best seafood I've experienced at a restaraunt and will now be a regular visit for my Toulouse trips. Six of us went for dinner - vey good service and exceptional food along with some reccommended wine that was top notch. Great raw bar with plenty of oyster selection. Main courses very flavorful. So - highly reccommend.

We were going to another restaurant when we passed Chez Jeannot. We were so taken with the restaurant and its adjoining seafood market that we changed plans and went in. We're glad we did. The atmosphere was marine in the extreme, but attractively so. Our waitress was charming, fluent in English and so helpful in guiding us through the menu and recommending a wine. Prawns-in-the-shell were fresh, juicy and delicious. And the bass fillet was grilled fish par excellence. One of our best meals in France.

"It was very very good! For drinks we had a homemade lemonade and a Hibiscus/mint iced tea (it really reminds us of bissap) which were very good. The beef mandu (dumplings) were incredible!!!! We loved it. The fried chicken was very good and plentiful for the price and accompanied by fresh radish pickles. The shredded beef bao was delicious clearly. The tteokbokki were really excellent, delicious and precisely spicy. The crispy salmon was not bad but too salty for my taste to titillate. The hotteok for dessert was very good. I would have liked the black sesame ice cream too but we didn't have any more room...that will be for next time. The presentation of the dishes is careful. The score is 50th for 2 knowing that we ate a lot. The staff are lovely and very helpful. There was a bit of a wait but it didn't bother us. Remember to book if possible because it gets crowded. Especially if you are a group. Afterwards we came without a reservation and were still able to eat. I recommend. For me the best Korean in Toulouse that I have tried for the moment (even if perhaps not pure tradition) with the P'tit Louis in St Cyp but which is only open at lunchtime. For the bibimbap I can't say we haven't tried it yet.
