"A lot of competition in this part of town which is packed with Asian restaurants and supermarkets... If you chose Chez Sun know that you picked a good one. All the dishes we had there were very fresh and nicely executed. Nothing was overdone,...re-heated or soaking in oil/sauce you can actually taste the different flavors coming off each component within each dish instead of just getting a bowl filled with lots of stuff that all tastes the same after it's been drowning in sauce. Pastries (Samosas, Nem, Ravioli) were excellent! Great ratio of filling to pastry, you could see that they were cooked to order. I definitely recommend them. Main dishes (Phad Thaï, Bobun) were great as well, with the right flavors and very generous portions. I'd also like to emphasize the service we got we were the only diners for lunch on that day, and we received a service that I can only hope everyone gets even when the place is crowded. Very pleasant, very attentive. The reasons I'm scoring and not are: Atmosphere During lunch the owner's family was hanging around in the dining area (grandmother and two small children). Not that they bothered us, in fact they were charming, but when I walk into a nice restaurant I don't want to get the feeling this is a part time living room. Feels a bit uncomfortable to me at least, but I'm sure a lot of people will not share my feeling, which is fine.Another thing about the atmosphere after about minutes we noticed they play ambient music that wasn't very asian, and repeated itself every minutes. This soon becomes a bit annoying. Lastly, when we entered the restaurant the lights were off probably to save money on electricity, so don't be alarmed if it looks like the place is closed. Still, not the most welcoming start to our dining experience. I'm sorry in advance to all Asian people reading this but Asian desserts are just a bit underwhelming when in Paris. Fried banana? Rice pudding? Come on guys... This is the Mecca of sweets!"

Excellent food. Starter where amazing. Peking soup and soup with shrimp and citrus. Main course excellent. Chicken satay, and beef basil hot plate. Staff friendly but shy. Not the best English. Well worth a visit.

C'est toujours un plaisir de déjeuner chez Sun. Le service est rapide et très sympathique.Il y a possibilité de remplacer la viande et le poisson par du Tofu pour une option VG.Les plats sont en moyenne à 10euros et restent très copieux.

Went in here as my usual place was full and was very pleasantly surprised. The servers and managers are very nice and the food Vietnamese and Thai standards excellent. Often a problem in Paris, but not here: iced coffee! May become my new'...regular place. Ver carta

Objectivement, je prends toujours le même plat : un Bò bún. Il est pas mal, même s'il y a beaucoup mieux dans le quartier. Par contre, l'accueil est sympathique, le service est rapide et il y a un bon rapport qualité/prix. Je vous conseille de le tester si vous êtes fréquemment dans le quartier. Des menus sont proposés.

I was in great company-my son, who suggested it grandson. The meal really made the time together so special. The starters of dumplings was full of flavours and light. The Thai green curry especially, with the other main courses were exquisite. I would recommend...this restaurant to anyone who thinks they can cook Thai......like me!.
