"This place is the very definition of a hidden gem. A family run Italian restaurant with a small, but excellent menu. We went with friends for my son’s twelfth birthday and had a fantastic time. The pizzas in particular stood out, although the starters were...also great. The booze free tiramisu brought as as an unasked surprise for the kids to share with the birthday boy was a special touch and was devoured before the adults could even get a nibble. For sure a future regular both for eat in and takeaway. Be aware it is BYOB, but that’s no bad thing either."

"Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by a friendly staff member at the entrance. Our waiter, Charlie, was extremely attentive throughout our enjoyable breakfast experience. The food was outstanding - I received three different flavors of jam with my toast, a generous portion of smoked salmon, and my taste buds were thoroughly satisfied. My friend ordered a bacon baguette and also raved about how delicious it was. The quality of the food exceeded our expectations given the reasonable prices. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant in the future."

"I visited this restaurant a couple of weeks ago to celebrate a birthday with my partner. It was our second visit to the establishment, the first being in November 2021 during the Covid-19 pandemic. The service initially started off well, with a warm greeting upon arrival, reminiscent of our first visit. However, as the evening progressed, the service from the wait staff deteriorated significantly. We had to actively signal for staff members, with only a 50% success rate in getting their attention. Despite ordering a second round of cocktails, they never arrived after a 20-30 minute wait, as it seemed we had been forgotten about. I eventually had to flag down a busy worker to request the bill and inform them to remove the second round of cocktails from our order. After promptly settling the bill, we decided to leave. It appeared that the restaurant was more relieved to see us go than to have another table to serve. It was evident that they were severely understaffed on a Thursday/Friday night - one would assume they would have enough help on a busy night like that. This second experience was a complete contrast to our first visit. I am unsure whether I will return in the future. Service rating: Dine-in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £40-50"

"Nice food, steaks are good value if you go on a Tuesday. Service not great, staff fail to check if you require more drinks etc during meal. Drinks are very expensive, wine is overpriced and being charged £2 for half pint of soda water is outrageous. Overall, a tasty meal, just be prepared to have your wallet emptied for drinks. "Took advantage of the Groupon Sunday Roast deal. Had a late guest join us and paid full price for them. The Sunday Roast is listed at £18 per head. With the Groupon deal it was £24 for 2, so a savingings of £6 per head. The food was well prepared. The service was courteous and efficient and the atmosphere was pleasant. Overall the meal was enjoyable. Two of us had the crumble desert and it was generous and delicious. There was only a small disappointed ant that was with the small portion of beef we received. This is perfectly understandable when you take the resent cost of living crisis into account and the percentage that promoters like Groupon take of the fee...So next time we will book directly and pay list price to get the full experience.
