"As a Texan living in the UK I usually avoid Mexican food because it wholly disappoints. But I was intrigued by the reviews. Overall I was very pleased. Marguaritas were fresh and light with a tart bite, and guacamole was excellent. I would argue that the Tex Mex menu isnt you can't ignore am enchilada in that catagory! I had the Conchinita tacos. Pork was tender and flavorful, although the onions were to sweet and sticky for this kind of dish. Rice and refried beans were spot on. Service was fantastic. Overall great night, and I would definitely return."

"Food was exceptionally good as was the atmosphere. We thought the scallop starter was fantastic and the flavours in the cod and chorizo main course delicious. The BBQ broccoli was delightful. In fact all the food was very flavourful, and we felt we could have selected anything from a very interesting menu and had a ‘menu winner’. Service was good, friendly and willing in what is quite a busy restaurant, although didn’t quite match the (very high) standards of the food. A couple of times we had to hand back empty bottles and dirty glasses that were no longer needed. The staff also missed their chances to upsell us on bread and vegetables. But the waiters/resses were all charming and helpful and with a little more experience will also be exceptional soon we are sure. All the best to this new and exciting team!"

"Inside is dark and a bit dated. Outside has great views of the river. Service was not very good with staff a bit stuck up! We were a party of 6 with one toddler and had a table if 5. Staff were a bit unpleasant making a point to tell us that we booked for 5 and now need 6 chairs! Could have easily offered us a high chair without the fuss! We expressed desire to sit outside as you can’t book a table there to be very rudely told that there are no tables ! Overall food was mediocre but the service wasn’t great so won’t be visiting again .. plenty of places around the river to explore"

"Felt like the waiters wanted you out of the restaurant really quickly as soon as you had the menu they were over wanting to take orders of wine and then food. There were hardly any gaps with serving the bread before you were trying to juggle where to put the bread, plates, bread bowl and dips so you had room to put your starters down not enough room on the table for four people. No sooner had you finished your starter your mains arrived not ideal and not a relaxing time while still trying to juggle water glasses and wine glasses. For the dessert we actually asked for a bit of time as everything seemed to be really rushed other tables seemed to be served at a more reasonable pace. Very disappointing and ended up not enjoying the meal we had been looking forward to. Having read the reviews before going we must have gone on an off day as we came away thinking that it was not somewhere we would go again."

"We thought this must be good. Having ordered our meal we waited nearly an hour for our starters. Sardines good but fried anchovies decemated. Three out of four mains good but Dover sole very poor and over cooked. Waitress very poor and never once asked us if things were ok. Will not go back which is a real shame. You know something is wrong when the staff won’t look at you and avoid your gaze. There are much better places to eat in Henley"
