Ordered on deliveroo and must say it was one of the best fish and chips we ever had. Main thing fish and chips were cooked in a fresh oil. Will definitely order again. Well done Chris' fish and chips!!!

I absolutely love the Jack Daniel's ribs at this restaurant and have been a loyal customer for years. Even though I now live away from Essex, I always make it a point to visit whenever I'm in town to see my family. The only downside is their early closing times, which can be a bit inconvenient, often forcing us to find another place to eat.

I've never had a bad experience at Chris' before, and tonight was no exception. I had the cod, and it was cooked perfectly. I really don't understand the negative reviews here unless they are from owners of other local chip shops. All the feedback on local Facebook pages has been positive. The only downside was when I used Deliveroo; they didn't even pick up my order, and when I called, it still showed as "on the way." That wasn’t Chris' fault, but from now on, I’ll always use Chris' own delivery service—it’s cheaper too! Ver carta

I had a pleasant experience with the friendly service from the younger staff member. Initially, the younger guy who served me had a bit of an aloof vibe, but overall, it was great. On my first visit, I took his recommendation for the ribs, and I must say the sauce was delicious and very generous. The meat was tender and flavorful, although I felt it could have been even more tender for a perfect experience. It required a bit of chewing, but I tend to be quite particular. The chips were decent as well. I would definitely return!
