"We visited Yoku on a Sunday evening for a meal after a long day's walking. We were not disappointed! We were met warmly upon walking in and were looked after really well by the team. We enjoyed sake cocktails, wine and beer and an array of super fresh, tasty Japanese food. We chose the pumpkin croquettes, prawn tempura, various sushi rolls and chicken katsu donburi and all were really delicious. The prices were very reasonable for a Japanese restaurant (they had a Korean page on the menu too) and the restaurant had lovely lighting and music playing. We loved Yoku and will definitely be back!"

"Our first time in a Turkish restaurant and we will be back! The waiter who served us was friendly and helped us decide on what to choose from the huge selection of dishes. The food was prepared behind by the most relaxed looking chef I’ve ever seen, he was seated at his bench quietly prepping all the dishes. All in all a great experience and as I said, we will be back!"

"Visited twice during our weekend stay.Once for drinks and nibbles and for dinner before going to the theatre. A fantastic all round pub. Friendly smiling staff, good music,great food , outside terraces. wide range of drinks/coffees. All areas clean. All the food we had was excellent from snacks of chicken wings and hallomi fries to the the scampi and chips and crispy pork belly for dinner. Everything served hot and well presented.Only one negative was the wine selection , a very small limited list given the very wide range of other drinks available on the bar. Only 3 white wines and two of them were french , red wine slightly better with 4 offerings from different countries.I drink savignon blanc and would normally find one from New Zealand, Chile ,South Africa on a wine list. The french offering was awful. Very acidic, my husband said the red wasnt great either . A shame as we both enjoy wine with food . I spoke to the lady behind the bar and she said she drank the same as me and it wasnt great and there wasnt much choice. Overall a great pub and will return again when visiting Eastbourne. Very busy at times so best to book a table if you want to be sure of getting a spot to eat.Booked in 2 hour time slots. Would have been 5 stars but for the wine"

"We had a delicious Sunday lunch (its always delicious so not surprised! Staff are always so lovely, they hover perfectly, not too much and not too little. Food was yummy, tasty and filling. We all loved our roasts and desserts. Thank you to Erina and Craig to what is always a lovely treat with you."

"Was turned down whilst I was with my children, they said first they were fully booked and later changed the story saying they didn’t have a table of 5. Tonight I thought I’ll go on my own before 9pm. The owner send the waiter to tell that the restaurant was closed, when I went to question the owner, he shouted saying this is my house. Quite embarrassing to act in such way. He doesn’t know that his friends recommended him as we like to try new restaurants. Anyway it was a very bad experience and poor approach from the owner. Avoid it at all cost never turn customer down, there a polite way to deal with is"
