"On this early Sunday evening the Brousko is already well visited, a reservation is absolutely recommended. The guest room is modern in warm colours. Main dishes are between 15 to 26 euros, the service is efficient. We start with Mezedakia Meze for two people from a variety of small appetizers from the sea these would be sardines, grounded squid rings, octopus salad, kaviacreme Sic! , tuna salad with garlic bread from the recommendation card. This is almost a main dish, with roasted bread it would have been even better. My personal benchmark Taramosalata is the kitchen with Bravour. Continue with the Artemis plate Souvlaki, cattle liver, gyros, rice, tzatziki, mixed salad . Souvlaki is a bit firm for my taste, but that's mugs at the highest level. "we were in the evening after the bouldering in the american diner in durlach and each had a chili con carne. the portions are far too large, even the chili is actually too much. the price in itself is ok, but for not making the whole portion too bad.Bisher was eating always top-class, but at the evening the chili was cooked too long and the buds in it boiled. somehow it was then in a water cap that had formed in the teller and no longer looked quite appetizing.The operating and the flair (red leather benches and badly isolated one glass window, which in the summer is no matter--- remember very strongly diner from American films) and make the diner visit worthwhile. the dinerteam has fun at work and gives the guests the feeling to be welcome.In good weather you can eat outside. a reservation may sometimes be helpful if it is something to sit at the counter.I love the peanut butter milkshake, but also had a root beershake from which the waiter had advised me. he should be right. the root beershake was not my favorite."

"This restaurant was recommended to a work colleague and me by our German host. It was within easy walking distance (10-15 minutes) of the Hotel zur Linde, where we were staying. Note that the restaurant is closed on Mondays.The restaurant is in an historic old building with wonderful wooden beams and pillars. It claims to have been a family run inn since 1558.The restaurant is entered through a lovely old courtyard, which would be a cool dark oasis on a hot summer’s day. On arriving, we encountered a coach party leaving the restaurant so we timed our entrance just right.We noticed that several tables were reserved so it is obviously a popular restaurant. We managed to find a table and our order was taken. During the evening we saw no sign of any male workers – all the cooking and serving seemed to be done by three ladies who could have been from one family as we thought we could discern facial similarities. We were served by a middle-aged lady who, at first, seemed rather brusque with little knowledge of English. Therefore I quickly got out my trusty German phrase book and dictionary and proceeded to translate the menu and what to say. We’d been told the rump steak was excellent so we both chose that, ordering our steaks the way we liked best in our poorly pronounced German. However, we ensured our order was understood by pointing to the relevant words!Firstly, we had a salad dressed in an excellent vinaigrette. The rump steak came with fried onions and potatoes. It was extremely tasty and cooked to perfection. Very tender. It was washed down very well with a local red wine, full of fruit and with just enough body.We fancied a dessert and selected something we thought was black forest gateau. It was close but not quite gateau. On telling of our experience later, back in the UK, to a better German speaker it emerged that a better translation was black forest cup or goblet. Anyway, whatever it was was delicious. Lashings of cream covering a lot of black cherries and ice cream with copious quantities of liquor – seriously alcoholic!We were one of the last people to leave the restaurant and, we assume that by making the effort of trying to speak in German, were wished a very warm auf Wiedersehen by all the staff. The staff definitely had warmed to us during the evening.We staggered back to our hotel having enjoyed a wonderful last evening on our business trip.We both thoroughly recommend this restaurant, which also has a separate guesthouse with about 8 rooms. We will definitely be returning. The restaurant is a great alternative from those in Karslruhe itself. It is easy to get to this restaurant from Karlsruhe by tram (S5 line)."

"Eingenlich sehr schönes Lokal und Essen sowie Getränke shmecken auch sehr gut. Wir hatten Durlacher Frühstück für 3 bestellt, es sah etwas wenig aus, hat uns aber gereicht. Danach hatten wir das Durlach für 2 bei anderen Gästen gesehen es war genau so viel an Brot, Wurst und Käse wie bei uns. Bree Käse hatten wir auch nur 2 Stück ind Frischkäse nur 1 ziemlich kleine Portion. Uns wurde auch gesagt sie hätten nur 2 Croissant und statt 3 haben wir ein mal Brot bekommen, die nächsten Gästen hatten doch 2 Croissats. Also die Qualität des Essen war gut. Aber dass wir statt 3 Frühstück 2,5 bekommen haben fand ich enttäuschend, daher Gesamtnote 3."

"you really sit in the summer very excellent, cozy, relaxed in the shade. totally quiet because of a screber garden. very many masters, which certainly speaks for quality. the pasta are on the point al dente. very tasty. what disappointed me was the salat. I ordered a salad with cuts last time. the clean strips were there, but in a very clear amount. the salate as a whole so lala. the pizza looked good. Those who had ordered pasta were delighted. a problem has the restaurant. because of the small gardens there are also compost near and thus the small flies, which also love fish. So if you order pasta with seafood on a warm summer evening, you should eat quickly."
