I went here this eveningEnd of season, but still very busyThis is one of the 'bonnes addresses' of St Martin de Ré.

Food was amazing, service excellent, that is the sixth time that we have been. Always the same quality as the time of the year.

Food was perfectly cooked and well presented. One of the best meals I had when visiting La Tranche Sur Mer. I also had a non-alcoholic cocktail that was very nice. Ver carta

Fantastic restaurant Make sure you book how it can be very busy. Pleasant food and drinks Friendly staff, brush on your French food was quickly served, hot and freshly cooked. Varied menu and special board Would definitely recommend.

Just had lunch here, I had the plat du jour, sardines and potatoes beautifully cooked followed by a chocolate mousse and coffee for just €13. My wife had chicken Caesar salad that was huge, followed by a magnificent 3 storey 3 course desert.The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly and the service efficient.Well done.

Went here with a friend on a Thursday night. The food was great. I ordered foie gras as starter and the entrecote as main. Both were well prepared, also the entrecote was medium rare as requested.The staff was not that friendly, als their English were too bad. Friend received a different starter than ordered, and we had problems with paying by card. Ver carta

After being turned away from another restaurant (which we'd booked) we were not very happy. However, we asked and they had a table for 6 thankfully. VERY helpful friendly staff, particularly with my daughter who has food allergies. All 6 meals we ordered were lovely, and my parents liked the wine. Also nice to have a menu with a different range of food rather than moules et frites and everything else with chips! (Although their chips were very tasty!). Recommended.

La Tranche-sur-mare had a closing down for winter feel with some restaurants closed. We walked around for a while to find a restaurant that looked good and settled on this place right in the front (but sharing the building so not facing the sea). They...have outside seating but it was a little cool but lots arrived and sat outside whilst we were inside (end of Sept). Was smart and clean inside and I would indeed describe this as ‘bistrot’. Good, simple well-cooked food. Looked family run and professional. Food and wine were tasty but not extravagant, price was reasonable.

Visited here today on a visit to Tranche-sur-Mer. Great location just by the beach and slightly away from the hubbub of the busier side streets. My son has Ceoliac disease and so asking about Gluten Free options is a must and this being our first...visit to France since his diagnosis we knew that it may be a challenge; having visited many times before and evidenced whilst in La Roche sur Yon a couple of days prior and when I asked if it was possible to have a GF option was met with a swift non a slight smile and a shrug. Needless to say we just walked out. Anyway, back to this little jem of a place. The staff were fantastic...once my French was exhausted with the lady seeing us to our seats... Ver carta
