Cottons Rhum Shack - Carta

A great experience at Cotton’s, Shoreditch for a birthday meal. The staff were extremely accommodating, polite and attentive from booking the venue and throughout our stay. The range and quality of dishes was superb in the main and maintained an authentic Caribbean feel, bravo !

I recently visited this restaurant with a friend for their Tropical Bottomless Brunch and oh my goodness, the food was absolutely delicious, especially the Jerk Chicken Wings (definitely get those if you go, you won't be disappointed!!). Our server, Yasmin, was very lovely and attentive. You will definitely not be disappointed here. And a quick shout out to the rum punch, it was fantastic!

Came to Cottons for the Surprise Birthday Bottomless brunch. The food was great- we had a table of 12 and there were no complaints from anyone re the food. As soon as you sit down- they’ll start pouring drinks- as it’s the bottomless lasts exactly 90 minutes. Service was seamless they’re quick to take your orders so that you can get your three courses in a timely fashion. Yasmine was our waitress- very patient and kind to a fairly demanding table! Cottons is exceptional! The restaurant's cleanliness and service were amazing. The food - oh, the food was exceptional! Without a doubt, the best Jamaican restaurant in London. I ordered the Jerk chicken with rice and peas and it was absolutely delicious. My partner had the meat platter and was impressed by the bold flavors and variety. From the plantain, to the salad, to the juicy meat - everything was delicious and authentic. I will definitely be returning.

This was a birthday treat to the Caribbean Bottomless Brunch. Arrived early and advised that we could go downstairs for a drink. Pleasantly surprised to find a club down there with a great atmosphere, DJ and dancing at 2pm on a Saturday! Enjoyed a couple of Ragga Muffin cocktails before going back upstairs for the brunch at 2.45pm. 3 courses plus either bottomless prosecco or rum punch. Friendly staff, ok food, flowing drinks, music and we were all dancing by the end. It was good fun. Later in the evening we came back to the club (this time we had to pay £10 entry) and enjoyed some live music.

Me and a guitarist were hired on Friday 14th of April to play an acoustic set downstairs at the cottons club. The management later told us that the person that was their event manager didn’t get approval to hire us, so they don’t plan on paying us, even though the mistakes of their employees are theirs to bear, not OURS. They now have stopped replying to our messages and emails and clearly don’t have any intention of paying for the job we did. Any establishment that treats people this way doesn’t deserve any recognition and should be BOYCOTTED, so please DON’T GO THERE! Plenty of better places to eat at in Shoreditch anyway. Ver carta

I went for a casual dinner with some local friends while visiting London from the US. The food was fantastic, especially the ox tails. The drinks were also top-notch, and we tried a variety of options. Surprisingly, my favorite was the coconut mojito. The highlight of the evening was the exceptional service. The manager, Kevin, was a delightful host, engaging in lively conversations with our group and even getting the bartender involved at times. He curated a fitting old school playlist to enhance the relaxed atmosphere and kept the drinks flowing smoothly. I will definitely be returning to this place every time I visit London.

Food was terrible. And the service was any better. We were rushed to order and as because they insisted on closing “early”. They didn’t want to seat us inside as our whole group of 7 hadn’t arrived. So they insisted we sat outside until they all arrived despite this restaurant being empty as my pictures show. We were served by Kevin (manager). Who was very confrontational and made us feel on edge. Second round of drinks seemed to be watered down, very dissimilar as we made ot for happy hour. We instead they took off the £25 service charge and we ened up clearing our drink and plate off the table in order to make space. Considering the restaurant was empty we shouldn’t have to do this. This will not be first time at Cottons, been to other branches where service and food was excellent. This one was very poor, we arrived without a booking and was told only seats outside were available which was fine as it was a lovely day. However, the tables were dirty, orders were wrong, kept bringing someone else's drinks order over and over again. Food came, no cutlery, waited a while then approched the manager inside who's reply was we do not set the tables outside. I get that but bring cutlery with the food then.... we were also made to pay first whilst placing our order because apparently people have done a runner from outside tables before.
