"We’ve eaten at The Pigs several times and always loved it. I don’t feel comfortable complaining about food in a restaurant at the time. We were also on a tight schedule, as we had to get home. On this occasion, sadly the batter on my fish was over done and the chips were very hard, I couldn’t get my fork into them. This resulted in me eating them with my fingers. My partner found the same with his chips and on more than one occasion, they went flying off his plate as he tried to stab them with his fork. This is unusual but I hope that this will bring positive changes for future visits."

"Overall a lovely Birthday meal in a beautiful pub. Service was slower than expected and it was very hot sitting under the glass roof outside area. But saying that the food was lovely, great choice for the children and great to have an outside play area. The dessert table was so good. Loved the whole layout, decor and ambience of the pub. Bar staff were good. Finished off our meal with a drink in the games room. Will definitely be back and would love to stay one day!"

"Just had a family lunch at The Hunworth Bell , I don't leave many reviews but this visit today warrants praise. The surroundings in the restaurant were very pleasant and informal, the staff were very welcoming, the man behind the bar was sincere and did everything right, he described the specials, offered table water, then took our drinks and food order, a credit too his employer, service with a smile but not over the top, the food was well presented portions were ample, warm and tasty. I had Bangers and mash with veg it was perfect, i would definitely recommend this pub for atmosphere, friendly staff and quality of food, the pricing was not cheap but nor was it expensive, its true in this circumstance you get what you pay for. Worth the drive out and would come here again, hope the standard can be maintained at this high level well done"

"While I may not be a beer connoisseur, I have consumed enough throughout my life to recognize when a pint of ale is off. Unfortunately, the host/bartender at this establishment seemed to be clueless and insisted that the strange chemical taste of the beer was due to something I had eaten. It was apparent that he didn't really care. I struggled to drink even half of the pint and eventually had to admit to the host that there may have been a problem with the beer. It felt as though my feedback fell on deaf ears, as he showed little interest in the beer's quality or my concerns. I might as well have just left, as it was clear he was not interested in addressing the issue."
